Had the quarter Spit Roast Chicken with BIG House Slaw and BigHot Sauce. Chicken is slightly abit dry and pricey for such a small portion.

and the slaw was just mediocre. very dry as well.

on the other hand, had the Iced Latte and the Chunky Monkey Milkshake. The milkshake was definitely one of my favourite!!

Going for something different today. Had the cheesecake doughnut and Gula Melaka friand. I usually have their Lemon Meringue or the Salted Caramel donut & no doubt they're super generous with their fillings and it's a less sweet version of donut compared to the others. However, wished that the Friand wasn't that dry on the outside.

This has got to be my utmost favorite place for my salad fix as they offer a variety of wholesome ingredients, ranging from quinoa, barley, edamame, mushrooms and many more.
Aside from salads, their menu mainly boasts pizzas and delicious sides such as pies, quiches and meatballs.

My personal favorite here is the Breakfast Pizza and the half roasted chicken with a side salad and roasted potatoes.

The Breakfast pizza is really generous in portion and it is advisable to have a big group to dine together. The pizza comprises of ingredients such as beef bacon, eggs, chicken sausages, finished off with a liberal amount of ketchup and mozarella cheese. It was just like how the name depicts, breakfast in the form of pizza bites. So delicious, addictive and wholesome. It's a complete meal in a pizza.

Moving on, the half chicken is roasted with herbs such as rosemary, garlic and paprika. The skin was roasted to a crisp texture and the meat delivered a juicy taste to it. I decided to order the mushroom with alfalfa sprouts salad to go with it.

My friends and I went to have dinner here. I highly recommend this place ever since I tasted the pasta and dessert here for New Year's Eve last year. Therefore, I brought few of my housemates there to try the food. Oh my!! Another huge disappointment. The pasta that used to be so yummy, turns out tasteless or too salty. Then we ordered banana peach crumble for dessert. It used to be really good! Especially the vanilla ice cream. The serving all is still the same. Very good service and the staff

Another bad turn out with the dessert. I don't taste the banana's at all.. Only pastry and the ice cream is not the high quality one anymore. Ben's.. please improve your food quality.

Well, I can't really know if it is chicken. If you told me it is chicken, I would believe you. So now, this turkey was quite tender but taste wise, it is chicken to me. The gravy was diluted to the max, the cranberry sauce was cranberry jam. I was utterly disappointed with the quality. The most enjoyable thing was the potatoes with rosemary.

The potatoes were too firm. Either they were not cooked long enough, not cooked correctly, or are just not the right type of potato. Asparagus was also not cooked well, and still feels plasticky in texture. Overall taste is fine, but a bit dry.

This beef pie is deceptively filling, though the visual appearance of its size may convince otherwise. The beef is very, very flavourful and tender; and was overwhelmingly filling. The gravy was thick and salty, with a hint of black pepperiness.

Salt beef brisket is one of my absolute favourite things to order at Ben's General Food Store. It does take a good while for them to prepare and serve it to my table, but is it most certainly worth the wait. The bread is soft in the middle, but the crust is really crusty and tough - discard! Beef is tender, smells strongly of beef (it may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the person), and the mustard is strong.

Chicken, Pineapples, garlic topped with Mozarella cheese on a tomato base pizza ! This is one of the best pizza I've ever tasted! Unlike most of the pizzas out there with rubbery chicken texture, the chicken was staggeringly soft, succulent and tender. The garlic was cooked until tender, bringing out the fullest taste of the pizza taste, without being pungent at all. The crust was really thin and crunchy, jsut the way I like it. And the pineapple was really sweet and . This whole pizza is a mast

Or Bangsar Village II please!

The pizza has 8 slices in total. Recommended to share among 2 moderate eater, or 3 small eater

Roasted Pumpkin RM10.90 "What...the skin is still attached to it?"...Little did I know, the skin was actually edible! And it was the best part of the dish! Slightly crispy, with an aromatic smokey taste. The pumpkin flesh was really soft & fluffy! The texture reminds me of sweet potato, but it is softer and sweeter! There were also a hint of balsamic vinegar to give this dish an extra punch, along with the aromatic fire wood taste =)Probably one of the best pumpkin dishes I had ever tasted!

We were wondering on what to feast in Publika for supper and somehow we ended up in Ben's General Food Store. For one, it looks pretty decent aesthetically and it smells really good too. I did not know what to order but I stumbled upon a pizza that only cost RM20. That would be the one, filled with salted anchovies, garlic, olive and cheese. It taste and smells amazing although the anchovies were a little too salty for me.

If Asian menu doesn’t excite you, then do take a look at the rest of what’s offered in Ben’s. They offer a simple yet delightful diversity of dishes. Their Nasi Ulam is nice. However, this RM 26.00 big plate of rice with a huge chicken thigh rendang, and several other dishes is a definite and strictly for sharing only. Served with half of my favourite salted egg and lekor, the entire combination of everything on the plate is explicitly ambrosial.

Publika is a very artistic, pleasant and friendly place to hang out. Ben’s contemporary designs are amazingly comfortable and cozy to hang around. And that applies to both indoor and outdoor dining.
