The waitress in Wong Poh declared that the tilapia was fresh and still swimming in the tank, hence we decided to order this. Flawlessly steamed just right, the fish was a great addition to a meal. Smothered in fermented black bean sauce (also known as ‘taucu’), with a generous helping of chopped garlic and some pickled plum sauce, the fish was very enjoyable. The only complaint was that the size of the fish was a bit too small.
