A cafe that's bound to be polarizing; we kinda like it, but we're not sure we should.Let's start with the positives: Slurp's spotlight-on-superheroes trappings are engaging .Still, the comic-book theme seems an odd match for the menu, which tries to take flight with East-West fusion experiments like pasta a la nasi lemak (RM21+): spaghetti stir-fried in sambal, surrounded by anchovies, peanuts, boiled egg, cockles, cucumber, curry prawns & papadum.Slurp also tackles the mamak mutation of Murtaba

Slurp also tackles the mamak mutation of Murtabak Maggi & makes a burger of it (RM17+), lodging not merely an egg between two chunky-crunchy slabs of instant noodles but mayo & Worcestershire & sesame sauces too.

Desserts seem designed to delight. We're pretty sure these are the handiwork of Cake Tella; Eddie Tan's signature concoctions of peanut butter mille-crepe & Baileys chocolate mousse cake with caramelized hazelnuts take center stage in the chiller.

Drinks aren't spared from culinary villainy. Durian fuels the twist to Slurp's caffe latte; thankfully, the taste of the fruit is clear & clean, overt without being overbearing.
