虽然是小贵了一点，但是品质是保证的。开始先上了几块蛋糕， 这里的 tiramisu 和 hazelnut 蛋糕有让我惊讶哦！今天不是很饿，就点了一份最便宜的 nasi lemak可是还是要 rm20 呢！不过鸡肉是很大份，sambal 也是很开胃，饭也有浓浓的椰浆味。serai 从来不会吝啬分量，都会蛮大份的。最后上炸香蕉，这应该是每个人来这里都会点的甜点吧。把糖浆倒在香脆，热腾腾的炸香蕉上，甜甜的，让人很内疚但是真的甜得很开心。

Couple of friends brought us to this restaurant, citing the deliciousness of their fare. We were very much in agreement, as we had become loyal customers of their Empire and Paradigm Mall branch. I was wondering what to drink in Serai, when I saw that they offer lemongrass tea. I have always had a liking for lemongrass, hence decided to order that. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, so I opted for the hot lemongrass tea. The tea taste was very apparent, with a good dose of lemongrass in it. There was a stalk of lemongrass being put in as a stirrer. Not too sweet, it was just nice. Priced at RM6.50, it was slightly pricey, but well worth the amount paid.

Not one to say no to dessert, I was pleasantly surprised when wifey brought back a slice of berry pavlova, Yummeh! I had this before, and I was looking forward to having it again. It has simple decor, well-lit with clean lines accented with greenery and fresh flowers, makes for a pleasant and comfortable dining experience. Another main dish that we ordered is Steam Fish with Lime Sauce. The taste is sour and spicy, but it really open up your appetite. The fish is fresh and the meat is soft and smooth.

Another main dish the we ordered is Kangkung Belacan. The water spinach is stir fried together with shrimp paste which made from fermented ground shrimp mixed with salt. The dish is no so spicy and it taste good.

The meat is so tender ad juicy, deep inside the special made satay sauce, made it even more delicious.

I would highly recommend the Pavlova, the texture is so special, which it is hard to describe here. The price certainly is expensive, but I think is worth it.

The tiramisu slice in Serai reminds me of the tiramisu cake in Alexis. The taste was quite comparable as well. The cake was quite sweet, but since I am a sweet-tooth, I was very pleased with it. The cake is quite juicy, not dry at all. Pieces of caramelised almonds adorn the top of the cake, which I enjoyed very much. I do like the raspberry drizzle which gives the cake a slight tangy flavour. I would probably ask for more of the raspberry sauce the next time.

After a light dinner, wifey and I headed over to Serai for some dessert. Many people were raving about their cakes and sweets, so wifey decided we must give it a try. The first item we ordered was the pistachio creme brulee, which was absolutely, absolutely delicious. The presentation was very pleasing to the eyes. Look at the picture and you can tell how yummy this is seriously! The portion size was amazingly huge and the chicken thigh was heavenly. Juicy and roasted to perfection. They had some crispy crackers to go along and this was definitely the authentic Malay cuisine. I enjoyed eating this and it was filling, I didn't even eat dinner after that!

I have never been a fan of going to shopping malls for food hunts. But I have an exception for Empire Shopping Gallery, which have quite a number of pretty good restaurants.
