Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (已結業)

One of the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts branch is located at Ground Floor of Subang Parade. It has three outlets in Klang Valley of Malaysia and their first store is in Berjaya Times Square. With more and more outlets opening in town, now everyone can have a taste of the popular American doughnut joint. I super love Hot Chocolate, and having a cup especially on a rainy day is super satisfying! I love both Starbucks and Coffee Bean's version, and was curious of how Krispy Kreme's version would fare against the former two. The verdict ? Well, it certainly did not disappoint. Definitely gave the two coffee chains a run for their money I would say. Rich, chocolately taste indeed. Loved it!

What I love most about Krispy Kreme's Glazed Vanilla Cake is that it actually DOES taste rather like cake I suspect maybe they actually mixed a bit of cake flour into the doughnut mixture while preparing this particular variation. I'm almost sure of it. It's glazed with sugar on top; and further sprinkled with generous amounts of vanilla cakes crumbs as well. Super yummy!

I love this because with the green tea powdered dusting and filling which tastes a bit bitter-ish (as to be expected of green tea ); the slight bitterness actually balances off well with the otherwise overtly sweet doughnut dough. Also being green tea, this variation is one of the more .. or probably the most "healthy" donut on the menu.. haa haa But generally speaking, doughnuts aren't really healthy,lar.. it's more of a sweet indulgence

This is another of my all-time favorite classic from Krispy Kreme- the Chocolate Custard. It's basically hardened chocolate ganached topping with a drizzled patterned of sugar icing; and a soft chocolate custard filling. Yums The doughnut itself is already very sweet so thank goodness the custard choco filling is not overtly sweet as well. Just nice, the way I like it!

Subang Parade is generally a pretty quiet yet rather exclusive smallish mall. With it's upgrade about 2 years back and the addition of a spanking new MBO Cinema, it has since seen an increase of traffic flow especially on weekends. The same can be said about the Krispy Kreme kiosk at Subang Parade. On weekdays it's quiet but on weekends it does pretty good business But the quality of the doughnuts remain. Good!
