在槟城的大街小巷逛累了是时候来杯好喝的咖啡和茶啦! 途经这家 The Mug Shot 的时候闻到了很香的咖啡味, 我身旁的咖啡精老吴马上就说要来这里喝饮料和歇歇, 安啦! 我还不了解吗?进到店里头看到满满的客人, 幸好咖啡馆连接着隔壁卖面包的地方有几张桌子是空的, 我们就点了咖啡和茶在加面包来当茶点。Latte- RM12, Earl Grey- RM6, Cheese bread, cream puff- 忘了价钱咖啡还可以, 不过没有想像中那么香, 茶也是普通, 没什么亮点。泡芙里头挤满了鲜奶油, 跟我们普通吃的泡芙里头的卡士达酱有点出入, 我个人觉得很腻, 吃了两口就吃不下了。烤芝士面包中规中矩, 口感有点硬, 咬久了口很累。整体的经验普通, 食物和饮料没什么特色, 不过气氛不错, 喜欢那露出砖头的墙壁和垂下来的灯泡, 整个感觉很有情调, 约会可以来下啦!

咖啡还可以, 不过没有想像中那么香, 茶也是普通, 没什么亮点。

泡芙里头挤满了鲜奶油, 跟我们普通吃的泡芙里头的卡士达酱有点出入, 我个人觉得很腻, 吃了两口就吃不下了。烤芝士面包中规中矩, 口感有点硬, 咬久了口很累。

整体的经验普通, 食物和饮料没什么特色, 不过气氛不错, 喜欢那露出砖头的墙壁和垂下来的灯泡, 整个感觉很有情调, 约会可以来下啦!

说到The Mugshot Café，我就只能用‘这里的一切都让人很惊喜’来做终结。。老板那奇特的构思让不少人特地来这里排长照，然后顺便享用一餐。。热爱三文鱼的我在这里尝试了我人生第一次看到的东西>>三文鱼汉堡。。听起来必然让人摸不着头脑，但吃起来竟然不错。。三文鱼里面夹着一颗大鸡蛋，外面在被面包夹着。。一口咬下。。！ 三文鱼的汁融入进去。。哇！好吃！

The Mugshot Café is popular with its signature bagels. But, besides, the cafe also offers muffins, croissants, cakes and yogurts along with tea, coffee, soft drinks and juices.Bagel with salmonThe bagel is really soft although it was toasted for some time. The bagel was filled with black sesame which enhances the taste a lot. THe salmon was cut into thin layer. Not pretty sure how they cooked the salmon but it tastes superb

This extremely creamy and milky homemade yogurt is inevitably a good choice to be picked up. Others on the list are walnut with raisins and jackfruit with gula Melaka (palm sugar).Lastly, latte is not much different compared to other cafe. Just that there is free flow of brown sugar whereby you can add in the amount you prefer. Caution : Sugar is bad for your health and beware of diabates! =P

The bagel muffin is so delicious with its perfect cream cheese and smoked salmon under seize of the horizon! It only can be found in the Pearl of the Orient island, Penang!

 The Mugshot Cafe with very nostalgic feeling of interior design. They are using wooden chairs and tables. Please take note that only limited seats are available. The chairs and tables are kinda low, so for tall people, I hope you wont have problem sitting comfortably. It should be alright.

 For your information, there are only five types of bagel to choose from: cream cheese (RM5), cream cheese and smoked salmon (RM10), bacon and egg (RM10), turkey ham cranberry sauce (RM10) and corned beef and rocket (RM10). We ordered the bagel with cream cheese. It was quite plain but mouth-watering, with poppy seeds toppings.

 As for yogurt, there are only four types of yogurt available: jackfruit and gula melaka, kiwi and honey, mango and walnuts and walnuts and raisins. RM10 for each. We ordered the yogurt with mango and walnuts. This was the first time in my life to eat such THICK and CREAMY yogurt. Too thick and creamy until I stunned after the first spoon. I'm not a yogurt lover, but then after a few spoon I think the thick creamy texture of this yogurt is acceptable and goes very well with the mango and walnuts! I believe a yogurt lover will like this very much.

 After eating, we then walked around The Mugshot Cafe to do photo taking. The man is preparing the bagels with bacon and egg. Notice the oven which they used to bake/ heat up the bagels? They are using firewood for the oven, not charcoal.

 it was a late afternoon, and business was brisk!

five of us had to squeeze ourselves around one small table. i love the vibe here, berry lively and humble!

as soon as we were seated, we were told that bagels were sold out! what a damper! we still stayed on nonetheless, to try out other items on the menu.

my friends (both guy and girl) commented that the yogurt was toooo sour for their liking! i took a spoon in, and find it’s actually okay. you see, taste is really a berry subjective thing!

it’s sour but not to the extent kenot tahan. honey is available at disposal anyway. those you bought at supermarket aren’t that sour because they are laden with sugar! The Mugshot Cafe makes their yogurt in house! if you’re lucky you might get to see the execution in the shop!

 The Mugshot Cafe is a great place for brekkie, and yum cha as the ambiance is rather relaxing! not satisfying enough for main meal i reckon. i am an ant with HUGE appetite! certainly can’t patronize frequent, as the pricing was quite steep for students. :/
