Eating at Ping Wah is like eating at one of those old kopitiams. I love the food here. Finally I got the chance to eat the most famous eggs here which is the Chai Poh Egg (RM 18) which was made from 5 eggs! Can you imagine the high cholesterol involved in 5 eggs? I wondered my colleague said that they weren't delicious when they were awesome when we all liked it! The Chai Poh Chicken (RM 18) was also quite delicious. The Chai Poh Chicken (RM 18) was also quite delicious. The chai poh is salty and crispy and great to accompany white rice. It is one item I never fail to order every time I come here.

We ordered a belacan kailan which is also salty and it seems like everything we ordered was salty.

I came here with just one colleague for lunch. The place was quite crowded. I came here with just one colleague for lunch. The place was quite crowded. Apparently, the current owner is the second generation who take over the business from his father who was very famous.

It is my first time eating Chinese Hainanese food.

Since I thought there were only two of us, I did not want to order too much and settled for 2 dishes but the portion was very small.

We ordered the Signature Kai Lan with Salted Fish. It was too salty. But the kai lan was very green, fresh and crispy.

The Signature Super Thin Potatoes cooked with  dark sauce with small pieces of pork was amazing.

It is somehow weird that I would not have ordered both dishes if not for my colleague since I do not like pork, potatoes or kai lan. But the result is amazing when I allow others to help me order and the food I think I hate turned out to be actually tasty!

Since the portion was too small, we added the Signature Kampung Chicken with Chai Poh (Preserved vegetables). The Chai Poh was amazing and crispy and very tasty to eat with the plain white rice which I had a hard time swallowing with the non-spicy dishes. The chicken was very lean and delicious.

The bill of RM 40, was a bit hefty for a lunch of two, but then again, life is about eating! Oh, and I heard there is a/c segment of the kopitiam upstairs!

In the mood for some simple Chinese cooking, I decided to go to a rather famous restaurant in Seapark; but I didn't order any of their famous signature dishes.I just decided to order some simple garlic-fried choy tam and some pork (I don't remember what exactly it was called). The vegetables were crunchy and juicy, and nicely done with the garlic. The pork was fragrant with turmeric but was very oily and disappointingly tough.
