Ever since I heard an interview in BFM about how The Humble Pie was started, I have always wanted to come here and try the food but it seems that every time I make it here, the shop is either closed at night or in the day time. This time, at 9.30 pm, I made it here but their kitchen was closed. I could only order the pies in the freezer. I ordered the Mushroom Chicken pie (RM 20) reluctantly because I thought it would be like those we see in the bakeries. When the pie came, I discovered it was totally different as it came in a stew/soup form with a lot of tender chicken drumstick and mushrooms inside. The crust is very thin and not as flaky and fluffy as the ones we normally see.
The Green Apple Lychee Basil (RM 11) was quite tasty and not too sweet like the one at William's in Taman Megah. There is a big range of flavoured teas sold here and this happens to be one of the recommended ones.
The waiter also recommended me to try the Hot Earl Grey Chocolate (RM 10) which turned out to be the best hot chocolate I have ever laid my tongue in. The earl grey infused strongly into the chocolate and the chocolate was very thick.
