Bulgogi BBQ House  Smile Jul 26, 2012

This little treasure was found by my acquaintance who resides at Mutiara Damansara. After being a frequent patron to the outlet and never been let down with the food quality, thus am convinced to come over to savour this Korean cuisine myself, along with my family. Glad that my mom really enjoyed it! ^_^

It was located at Dataran Sunway and operated by a humble Korean couple. They do served BBQ dish at the open area next to their outlet since the restaurant itself is air-conditioned. Best part is, the staff would help you on the BBQ work and your job is to enjoy it! smile

We ordered the Saba fish set.
Upon arriving, you would be served with their varieties of ban chan or Korean side dishes.

I personally enjoyed their salad and stir fried spinach very much! The vege came with dashes of fragrant sesame. Caramelized anchovies with some sprinkled sesame are part of the ban chan too, crispy till the bites! Oh yea, those dishes are refillable as well, so you can savour more for you own preferred pick^^

Saba fish was indeed fresh and crispy on the outside while soft in the inside. I would say it was perfectly grilled.

It also came with the Seafood Soup Jigae.

Soup was served hot and mild spicy, but it’s nice! I think is mainly due to Kimchi and the calamari rings were huge indeed! Hehe..

Tteobukki was cooked to perfection with generous portion of fish cakes.

The fish cakes served at this outlet is slightly different with some sweetness within, I mean the fish sweetness itself ^^ Other than that, it was a decent rice cake dish with mild gochujang paste as we requested to be less spicy, hehe..
As for the stir-fried vege with chicken fillet was kind of similar to the oriental way.

Love it! ^^ Gonna miss its warm ambience....

This vegetarian shop does serve really good pasta dishes indeed. Mainly it has 3 varieties on the menu, but often sold out real fast. More than often, the restaurant is seen packed with patrons, unless you drop by at the odd hours, hehe..

So this time am much luckier, able to secure my order of this pasta!

Even though is of vegetarian version, it’s still delish with fragrantly stir-friend mushroom, mock prawn , cauliflowers and broccoli. Greens were still very crunchy after cooked and the olive oil give it a much smoother texture. Dash of black pepper further improves its aroma.

The salad was light and refreshing. It has some citrusy taste that give you some zest which increase your appetite for more tongue

As for the fried vegetarian fritters, it’s nice, no doubt, is bit oily. I suppose it’s something like mock meat which if eaten with mayonnaise would taste like ordinary fried dim sum, yum!

To clear the throat, we have the blended Mocha, but without whipping cream to so the tummy some ‘favor’, after such sinful dishes! Hehe….

Definitely I’ll be back for more ^^

Sam-Sam Korean @ Food Gardens Smile Jul 26, 2012

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Food court

Sam Sam Korean is operated by one humble and friendly Korean couple. It is located at The Gardens Mall food court, which also houses a variety of food choices. It has always been one of my cosy spot whenever am up for a quick hearty meal with a comfortable surroundings area.

Anyeonghaseyo is always my first greeting to them whenever placing an order. I love mostly all the menu for I feel it closely resembles the authentic way of Korean cooking.

One of it is Tteobukki.

This main ingredient was rice cake, which is whitish in color and usually cooked in Korean red pepper paste. Usually it’s cooked with capsicum, carrot, spring onions, goghujang, cabbage and a dash of fragrant sesame. For this, I request it to less spicy as I cant’ really take in HOT food, hehe..so the dish appeared to be less fiery and red than the usual you would see, but the tangy fish cake goes really well with the gravy, yum yum!

Coming next would be Gimdap! Or you could called it Korean Rice Roll.

This also appears to be my favourite pick as well. The rice was earlier mixed with some light vinegar, then are rolled up in seaweed with slices of carrots, spinach, omelette and some dashes of sesame to spice up the dish. It’s garnered a good texture and the salad that comes along was refreshing indeed. The dressing was just nice, not too heavy, and that’s what make me loving Korean salad all the time ^^.

Soon to join was this Udon in Seafood broth.

The noodle was springy and not too floury. Added with the savoury seaweed slices, it blends well with the soup sweetness of seafood and some hard-boiled egg, to complete the meal. The soup was really good indeed. Should you need more spice, you can always ask for more chilly flakes from the humble boss ^^.

Masitssoyo and Kamsahamnida !

Besides having a really good ambience, Café Takashi also serves really nice grilled pizza.
Guess that's one of the reason that keeps drawing customers back! ^^

We have here, the aromatic grilled chicken slices; Teriyaki Chicken Pizza. Ooishi!

Even with the added seaweed, the juicy and fragrant teriyaki chicken slices are not dampened at all!

This pizza is made of hot plate Teriyaki chicken slices and fragrantly grilled mushroom, alongside with teriyaki sauce and also Japanese Mayonnaise. Therefore, it gives out a smooth and creamy texture. Besides, the chicken bites are actually very nicely flavoured and tangy as well.

Yummy!

Feeling exhausted after a work-out day? Why not drop by this Japanese fusion cafe for a decent gastronomical retreat? Trust you gonna back for more and feeling satisfied!

But do not be intimidated by their unique menu display of tattoos....hehe….

As we are darn hungry, we waste no more time and start to enjoy the food that we had pre-ordered earlier, smart huh? tongue

First, you really gotta try their signature Takahashi Mushroom Soup. It's a very delish, creamy & tangy mushroom soup with cheese bread crouton...it actually consists of 4 types of mushroom, ie : shitake, shineiji, button as well as oyster mushroom. Two thumbs up!! I would say it is comparable to one i had in Mizi Bistro, which had been ranked No. 1 as far as authentic mushroom soup is concern.

Next, we proceed to the main entree; Takahashi Pizza .

It is a unique recipe though, which comprises of banana mixture, egg and not forgetting 4 types of cheese!! Love it!! ^_^ For this pizza, we opt for 10" thin crust in order to enjoy the crispiness. With banana which makes up part of the ingredients, I think it blends well with the salty cheese......

You may also savour the slices of tomago with their homemade cream sauce.

Yummy!!
