Quarter Grilled Chicken with Corn-on-the-cob with Fries

For a slightly adventurous of you, you may try one level up, that is Mild, which is for the yet ‘ Not So Brave’ of you, as indicated lol The chicken meat is adequately grilled to perfection, tangy till the last bite. Comes with side dishes of Corn-on-the-cob with Fries, I enjoy the coarse fries with some dashes of the in house special sprinkles. It is quite savory with some mild spiciness. As for the accompanied sauce, you can try the Mild PERi-PERi Sauce, which is delish enough to go with tender chicken meat. The corn is also another enjoyable fare since it is lightly grilled and taste quite sweet as well.

Quarter Grilled Chicken with Potato Wedges with Fries

Nando is one of the restaurants in town that serves pretty decent meal with grilled chicken as its signature. The fowl meats are marinated for at least 24hours in their inhouse recipe until the flavor goes right through to the bone. They are then flame-grilled and basted in your choice of Nando’s Peri Peri Sauce, and of course, with your preferred level of SHU and side dishes. For my ¼ grilled chicken, I enjoyed it with my favourite fries and also wedges. The fries are real big chunky bites that comes with creamy wedges that have been mixed with cream. As for the chicken, I still prefer it to be at Extra Mild level where I get to taste the deliciousness of Lemon and Herb Peri Peri Sauce. It comes with a touch of lemon and a dash of garlic, blended with a subtle finish of PERi-PERi (African Bird's Eye Chilli). Perfect for whole family.

Jawa Noodle

I was a bit surprised when seeing this menu is offered here, for usually I would only see this noodles mainly sold at hawker place. Guess OLDTOWN has decided to slowly venture into other cuisines and to impart more choices in their already famous local treats. This Jawa Noodle is slightly different from those you have in Penang. The usual fried flour fritters have been replaced with papadum in this case, along with some fried bean curb that is quite crispy. The gravy taste sweet and sour, come dashed with sufficient spring onions and fried garlic and lime juice to taste.

Double Toast OK Sep 25, 2013   (Related Review)

Double Toast

Since I have been indulging quite guiltily lately, so I got on a lighter note, that is to grab some bites on the OLDTONW Double Toast. I always wonder on how they make the brownish colour bread, for it doesn’t taste as floury as the normal bread. It is very crispy and soft as you bite on it. Just that if the filling spread like the butter and kaya could be more generous, then it would be much better, as it can be quite addictive though lol

White Coffee

For the coffee lover like my friend, a day won’t be passed by and the meal is not satisfying enough without any cuppa companion, thus going for OLDTOWN White Coffee by default lol It must be due to the original taste of the nice coffee aroma that is prepared the authentic way, that got its throng of fans enticed for so long. It is smooth and milky at the same time. Not too bad as I always enjoy my coffee if only if it comes with milk as well lol
