Cendol

Well, for many of us who have been savoring this Penang-made famous dessert, one might not get too appealed for this treat, hehe. Just merely from the presentation is also not reflecting the bowl of a decent cendol, not to mention about any additional garnishment. Basically, it is full of coarsely blended ice, but still, there are some greenish stripy flour buried underneath. Milk and brown sugar are still added, but somehow, still doesn’t rise up to par like those have at hawker stall back in Penang . Anyway, it still makes a good thirst-quencher during an excruciating hot day

Pan Mee

Ever since been tasted mom’s version of bigger flat pan mee during younger days, I hardly order it while eating outside, since most of the time, only those thin-sized noodles are available for your choice. It just so happen during one weekend with friend that brought me here. So as expected, am going out for the so called local papardelle The huge flatten noodle is actually quite smooth and slurpy. Just that some might find it bit floury but so long you go along with the sweet broth, that shall do the trick. The julienned black fungus is chewy, paired with the crispy fried anchovies alongside some addition of chives. Quite a good one.

Wantan Noodle

Actually this local snack could be found vastly almost each part of the town. It only differs at how well and authentic the food is being prepared. So I suppose a plate of homey Wantan Noodle could stil be found here. Apart from the common eggy and springy noodles being used, I actually quite enjoy the char siew meat. It is not like the usual marinade in bright red colouring, and taste subtlety better. Equally chewing and best part of it, most of them are lean meat, my favourite

Iced Blended Red Bean

Apart from the conventional way of taking hot red bean dessert, getting it prepared in a blended version sounds decently interesting too. As someone who love to chew and munch on any dessert or soup ingredients, you still get to enjoy that in this Iced Blended Red Bean, just that the texture is much refined, but still comes with adequately good taste of red bean. But do finish it as quick as possible, else when the all the ice flakes melt, it will somehow dilute the overall taste.

Dessert Corner

A short visit to the dessert corner is a must, in order to round up a sumptuous hotel buffet satisfactorily. Just like most of the hotels in town, there are many types of sinful dessert for you to pamper yourselves. For me, I will always try out the cheesecake bakeries which is quite delectable. I enjoy the lemony taste more for the zestiness of the lemon fragrance. The strawberries one is also quite decent with some hint of berries citrusy.Besides, the Red Velvet slices is pretty good too, not too sweet but with a light buttery aroma.
