Lovely Japanese snacks Smile Apr 02, 2014   (Related Review)

Other than the usual cheesecakes delicacy from bakeries, am would still be craving for any cheese-extended recipes so called, such as this Esseru Super Cup Cheesecake from Meiji. It is actually cheesecake in ice cream form, and I think it’s pretty unique compared to the rest.

Every icy bite allows you to enjoy the gratifying cheesecake flavor that it just melts in your mouth.

Having said that, if gonna leave any Japanese department stall without any green tea relish, it doesn’t seems to fully satisfying, and there is where the Uji Matcha comes in smile Seriously, this dessert is really awesome with its milky taste over the subtleness of the matcha. I suppose milk really pairs well with matcha and I really love it dearly!

Fish N Chips in town! :) Smile Apr 02, 2014

The Best Deal In Town is back again!

And you could fish it at none other than the friendly neighbourhood fisherman wharf, The Manhanttan Fish Market.

Fish lovers especially would be tickled pink for an array of 4 types of juicy fish are up for grabs, namely, Dory, Cherry Snapper, Red Fish and the last but not least, Salmon! You could have them either fried or grilled; the former choice comes with a side of Chips (my fav!) and House Salad, and the latter would be slightly healthier; Mashed Potato and Hot Veggies.

All the fishes are very fresh and juicy. Most importantly not overcooked nor scorched, which is very good! Go with the homey fare like broccoli, tomato an others, it allows you to really appreciate the freshness of the seafood. Thumbs up !

Donuts! Smile Apr 01, 2014

Looking at these chocolaty and roundish pastries somehow would arouse that indulgence temptation smile

Come in a box of 12, customers get to choose from different flavours to pair along with your afternoon tea. And for this round, I suppose the body must be craving for some real chocolate sensation seriously smile No doubt, the chocolate cream is very smooth and delectable, if you could temporarily forgot about the diet at the moment tongue You could actually taste the real cocoa taste, albeit it might appear tad saccharine to some.

As for those who prefer less sweet bites, the almonds flakes donut would be the better choice. Lightly creamed and coupled with the flaky crisp almonds, makes a considerable fun nosh, hehe.

Simple Hong Kie fare Smile Apr 01, 2014

It seems like whenever I can’t make up my mind of what to fill up my hungry tummy, the first café that pops into my mind would be this Wong Kor Char Chan Teng. Reason being is that this eatery has prepared a decent choices of various recipes to cater for the busy city folks who is always running around the clock.

Anyway, one of my favourite must-order item here would be the Fried Pineapple Rice with Dory Fish. I find that this humble plate is very hearty, looking at its huge portion, lol. Also each grain of rice is nicely fried till fragrant that gives out that tangy taste, along with crispy and juicy Dory Fish.

As for the new attempt, Chicken Wrap, I would say it is normal to me as I find that the chicken strips within are actually over-fried, thus resulting in a harder and drier texture.

WA Café Smile Apr 01, 2014
Categories : Japanese | Café

This unique and Zen-inducing café introduces freshly roasted flavours of Japanese coffee to KL-nites. Located at Level 6, Pavillion KL, just slightly further up from Tokyo Street towards the middle concourse, WA Café‘s strategic location makes it easily noticeable.
We really enjoy the placid break with our comfy cuppa serenely, away from the hustle and bustle of urbanites for a moment. The tranquility exudes by this café environment is very much lovable, simple yet aesthetically adorned with various paintings of coffee enjoyment.

Intrigued by the coffee namesake, finally I decided to go with the staff’s recommendation, Dirty (MYR 13). And as for my foodie pal, happily pamper herself with a chilling Iced Mocha (MYR 12)! After all, it was a pretty sultry noon that makes us yearn for some cooling beverage smile
