As usual, I really do love steamboat. So, we decided to give
it a try since there was deal on Groupon for Love Home Steamboat with half
price offer!

The shop is located at PV128, behind row and beside Tappers. Setapak
people definitely know this place especially. No worries about parking as there are plenty of it.

Operating Hours

Monday To Sunday

12pm-3pm & 5pm-11pm

It is just a normal ambiance with fully equipped tables. They
provide two types of stove, individual or one big pot shares with few people.

We chose a big pot since not
sharing with other friends.

They are varieties of sauce available for us such as chopped
garlic, chili, parsley and etc.

I Love Raw Garlic.

Each set of steamboat meal definitely comes along with ONE
YEE MEE and ONE EGG.

It is definitely incomplete without EGG (one of my MUST-HAVE
ingredient for steamboat).

There are few types of COMPLIMENTARY soup, and we chose
Tomyam Soup and Clear Soup. I personally think that the tom yam soup was quite
bland and not spicy, so do the clear soup. It was not really my ideal soup.

Clear Soup | 清汤 (complimentary) & Tomyam Soup | 东炎汤 (complimentary)

Back to steamboat set, they do offer various choices from
veggie to seafood with reasonable price and BIG PORTION.

Premium Set RM 16.50

It consist dumplings, squid, fish balls, meat balls, shrimp,
tau fu, “fu zuk”, various types of veggie and etc. It was definitely worth the
price as they served really big portion of ingredients when compared to other
restaurants. To be honest, the dumpling was delicious and fully filled with
generous meat and other ingredients as well. *recommended*

Seafood Set | 海鲜套餐 RM 18.90

It included various types of seafood such as clams, oysters,
shrimp, slices of fish and crabmeat, ‘fu zuk’, various types of veggie and etc.
I would say that this was worth the price as well. *recommended*

Lamb Slice | 羊肉片 RM 10.90

Fresh and thick slices of meat served. This was an additional
ordered which written in the menu. Besides, they do serve other types of meat
as well. However, I still love beef meat.

Homemade Pork Meatball | 手打猪肉丸 RM 8.90

It was made with generous amount of pork meat with mixture
of ingredients in it. *recommended*

P/S: NON-HALAL

Peach & Passion Fruit Tea | 水蜜百香茶 RM 3.00 & Ice Tea | 雪茶RM 0.80

They used Ahmad Tea: Peach & Passion Fruit. I love the
strong fragrant smell of peach. It can easily get from supermarket and...I bought
it!

Overall, I do love their steamboat set meal portion, but not
when comes to their soup base. Perhaps, they should improve on it in order get
a long lasting business, as good soup base is one of the key to attract
customers like us.

Besides, they do offer set lunch and students entitle to get
10% when show their ‘student ID card’!!

I will definitely come back for this again! *thumbs up*

Korean Country Delights

I went
there with my girls last Friday. We went to search for Korean food and took
quite long time as the mall is too big.

Once we
reached, it was fully seated and we waited by standing aside for approximately
20minutes. The staff passed the menu to us ONLY IF we asked. The size of the
shop is quite small and fit not less than 20 to 30 people by sharing tables.

So we
quickly browsed through the menu and ordered. We also need to wait for few
minutes to get our food ordered as they looked like lack of staff.

Refillable
side dishes were served once took our ordered. Anchovies (my favorite), kimchi
and some kind of vegetables.

Dol Sot Bim Bim Bap

Stone pot
rice mixed with vegetables, egg, chili paste and chicken / beef. So we chose
chicken. It is meant to be mixed before eat it. The fragrant of the rice was so
good when mixed with more seaweed. It
was not spicy for me (I love spicy food). Overall, it was good.

Jab Chae RM 15.90

Stir fried glass noodle with vegetable and chicken (you can choose beef as well). The glass
noodle was well-cooked and matched with the sauce and other ingredients. I
personally love it if it serves with beef. One of my favorite Korean dishes. *recommended*

Kim Chi Bokem Bab RM 14.90

Kimchi fried rice with egg. The
spiciness of the kim chi was just right and love the texture of the rice cooked.
However, it was just a normal dish. It did not impress me much.

Tuk Bokki RM 14.90

Spicy rice cake with fish paste and vegetables. The rice
cake was spongy and the sauce was not too concentrated. It tasted better when
compared with the one at Bee Won, but not up to expectation. It would taste
better if served with CHEESE.

Pa Jeon RM 11.50

Seafood pancake with spring onion. Mostly flour,
and served with few small pieces of octopus. It was not up to expectation and
the sauce served was not spicy. I would still prefer the one at Hao Xiong Di.

Overall, satisfied
with the lunch and would like to visit to other branch again.

Previously,
I bought vouchers from Groupon. It costs RM 25 for RM 50. I gave it a try since
I saw many people bought the vouchers (I’ll take it the food is acceptable
based on first impression: lots of people bought the vouchers).

We went to
there around 5pm, and the shop was CLOSED and written that they will consume
the operating hours after 7pm. I was like “WHAT?!!” It written 10AM to 10PM on
Groupon, and didn't state that there’s any changes in business hours.

We came
back again at 7pm, and seated at one of the corner of the shop. The staffs are
not able to provide menu for us till we asked them. Seriously terrible
services!

Then, they
said the kitchen will only start to operate at 7.30PM (again!!). We ordered our
dishes and waited more than 1 hour.

7PM went to the restaurant --> kitchen starts at 7.30PM --> food served at 8PM

Free Ice-cream from the shop.

What makes
me felt so disappointed and frustrated was the menu provided on Groupon is absolutely
different from the shop! One of the staff told us that they do not follow the
menu provided on Groupon. Basically, it was few types of chicken dishes, pasta,
desserts, salad, and drinks.

And, WHERE’S
THE OTHER MEAT, MILKSHAKE, SNACKS, OTHER BEVERAGES & etc as stated in Groupon??!

This menu was provided in the restaurant on that day.

The menu provided by Groupon.

Link: Menu

Wth?! I seriously
felt got cheated by purchasing the vouchers via Groupon by browsing through the
NOT-UP-TO-DATE menu!

We just
ordered our dishes, and waited like there’s no tomorrow.

Seafood Marinara RM 27.90

Basically
the ingredients were spaghetti, tomato sauce (which tasted the same like the
one that I can buy from supermarket), THREE oysters, TWO squid, and little
smashed fishes.

The tomato
sauce was SO SALTY!! Even I cook better than this! The amount of seafood
absolutely not matched with the price I paid.

The worst
pasta that I had ever ate!

Few pieces of seafood.

Marguerite Pizza

Tortilla
wrap topped with tomato pasta sauce, cheese and few slices of mushrooms.

The backside
of tortilla was completely burnt and the mushroom tasted awful!

Order
Domino’s or Pizza Hut shop is thousands times better than here! It was certainly not worth at all.

Luckily, we
showed the 99% burnt pizza to one of the staff, and she immediately took the
pizza to the kitchen and replaced us a new one, with better version.

Worst pizza
that I had ever ate!

The burnt side of the pizza.

Replaced by a new one.

Better version of pizza.

Fish &
Chips

Fried fish
served with chips, mayonnaise and chili sauce. I can say that this was an
edible dish among others. Unfortunately, the size of the fish was small.

Ribena Lychee RM 7.90

DO NOT
EVER, I repeat, DO NOT EVER order this! Just a simple ribena drink with few
pieces of lychee (specifically, 2 pieces) and I need to pay RM 7.90??!

I
personally think that it was not worth the price either as you can eat at other
shop with better food and services.

One of the
worst restaurants that I had ever dined in!!

Friendly
reminder (to my readers and myself), please check review of the restaurants
that you want to dine in before it is too late or purchase any vouchers from
any sites.

Oops~ It had been few months didn't update my blog *sorry*.
I’ll updates more whenever I've free time.

I was so excited to visit another branch of Antipodean. So
we’d decided to visit Antipodean at Menara Tan &Tan previously. It is
located near KLCC.

The ambiance at there is almost similar with the one at
Bangsar, EXCEPT there is no outdoor seat available. We easily found a table as
there was not fully seated (lots of empty tables available).

Frankly speaking, I still prefer the ambiance at Bangsar.

YES, menu on the wall.

Back to the food. I will always order the same food IF the
food was delicious.
So here you go.

Big Breakfast (with Bacon) RM 20.00

It served with toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and
mashed potato.

To be honest, I love the mushrooms but not when comes to scrambled egg, as it didn't
have cheese in it, tasted super bland.

I still prefer the one at Bangsar, scrambled egg mixed with
cheese.

Did I tell you that the toast was so hard to chew?

All Day Breakfast (with Bacon) RM 20.00

It served with canned beans, slices of tomato, scrambled
egg, bacon and toast bread.

Just same like the comments above, the scrambled egg tasted
so bland and the toast was super hard to chew.

Overall, I still prefer BACON ONLY.

Hopefully there will have some changes as it was really different with the one at Bangsar outlet.

P/S: I would like to try ‘Kiwi Style Lamb Burger with Brie
and Egg’ for my next visit (in-my-food-list).

Sushi Flash @ SS15 Subang Jaya Smile Jul 06, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen/Udon/Soba

When comes to Sushi Flash, it is located at SS15 Subang Jaya, same row as McDonald’s. Normallt, it is fully packed especially weekends. They do offer RM 2 and RM 3 for sushi, maki, handroll, gunkan and sashimi. This definitely one of the cheapest Japanese foods around!

Salmon Sashimi normally cost more than RM 4, but at here it only cost RM 3!! Totally worth the price with good quality of salmon which came all the way from Norway.
It is definitely will not hurt your wallet whenever you’re cravings for sushi! lol
