Samba Brazilian Steakhouse Churrascaria is an all-you-can-nom buffet place which located at 3rd floor beside Tsukemen in Avenue K.

It looked quite dark from the outside but from the inside it was very happening.

Know what?? There’s TWO COWS outside the shop.

The interior design is really unique and there’s MOO theme in it.

There’s even outdoor seating which facing KLCC Twin Towers.

They even have old phone booth beside the wine corner.

Know what’s the use of it? It is used to let the staffs know whether you still want those meats or not. They will frequently walk around with skewers of variety of grilled meats, from chicken to beef to seafood to PINEAPPLE. Generous amount of meats will be cut by using some kind of cutter (looks like ‘parang’).
The green side, “Yes, please”, means I need more meats now.

Meanwhile, the red side, “No! Thanks”, means no meat to be served please. This way is easier without waving our hands frequently.

The buffet style is around the corners of the glass kitchen, from main course to desserts.

There were varieties of grilled meats.

Grilled Squid
The squid was very spongy and the sauce was perfectly matched with it.

Grilled Pineapple
The grilled pineapple was very juicy.

There’s CHEESE section with variety of CHEESE (gosh, the smell!!)

Desserts
The richness of chocolate and strawberry itself makes it perfectly good! It will be better if and only if it was cold.

Pineapple Juice
Freshly make pineapple juice to ease the thirst.

It was really a PERFECT place for us since we do LOVE BEEF so much!!
Thank you Avenue K and Samba Brazilian Steakhouse!!

Our next station will be Japanese cuisine, as I really do

love Japanese food.

Here it is, Tsukemen & Izakaya IEYASU.

It is located on the third floor in Avenue K (beside Samba

Brazilian Steakhouse), and can be reached by the LRT (KLCC station).

I love their interior design, Japanese theme (I do have a dream to stay in Japan in the future).

It is very spacious which can fit approximately 20 people in

a row.

One of the staff (lady in kimono) guided us to our seats and showed us the menu. She explained what dish will be served to us.

The menu is created by their chef in

Japan.

And yes, they prepared disposal

chopstick too. I personally prefer to use those chopsticks instead of washable

one.

Rich in green tea smell which I really like it.

Upon the meal

reached, she introduced varieties of sauces and the ways to eat it.

Tsukemen Dipping Noodle RM23-RM25

Tsukemen is an unique dipping noodle from Japan which served

with vegetables, eggs, pork slices and seaweed (my favorite!!).

The noodle are freshly made from 100% high quality flour. It is similar to ramen just

that it tasted spongier and the diameter of it was slightly bigger than usual.

Usually ramen will be served with the hot soup, but at here the noodles were separated and meant for dip into the soup (sauces). It was prepared with different types of sauces: sesame, Japanese curry, tomato & cheese, miso and soy sauce.

My favorite will be the MISO sauce. It

had a great texture of sauce and the saltiness was just right. *recommended*

The rice ball is meant to dip it in the leftover sauce after

done with noodles.

However, I personally love the rice ball itself, as it tasted like

curry powder coated at the outer layer of it. *delicious*

They even prepared a jug of hot soup to mix with leftover

sauces to become SOUP. Then, mix the rice ball with it. To be honest, the soup was quite tasteless without the sauces

in it. So, must mix it!!

Promotions

They are having ala carte buffet throughout the week.

Weekdays: RM81++

Weekends: RM89++

Overall, I did enjoy my meal at there with quiet environment

and the staffs were really friendly. Who doesn’t like it when they will

automatically refill the green tea into your cup without you asking?

As usual, I really do love steamboat. So, we decided to give
it a try since there was deal on Groupon for Love Home Steamboat with half
price offer!

The shop is located at PV128, behind row and beside Tappers. Setapak
people definitely know this place especially. No worries about parking as there are plenty of it.

Operating Hours

Monday To Sunday

12pm-3pm & 5pm-11pm

It is just a normal ambiance with fully equipped tables. They
provide two types of stove, individual or one big pot shares with few people.

We chose a big pot since not
sharing with other friends.

They are varieties of sauce available for us such as chopped
garlic, chili, parsley and etc.

I Love Raw Garlic.

Each set of steamboat meal definitely comes along with ONE
YEE MEE and ONE EGG.

It is definitely incomplete without EGG (one of my MUST-HAVE
ingredient for steamboat).

There are few types of COMPLIMENTARY soup, and we chose
Tomyam Soup and Clear Soup. I personally think that the tom yam soup was quite
bland and not spicy, so do the clear soup. It was not really my ideal soup.

Clear Soup | 清汤 (complimentary) & Tomyam Soup | 东炎汤 (complimentary)

Back to steamboat set, they do offer various choices from
veggie to seafood with reasonable price and BIG PORTION.

Premium Set RM 16.50

It consist dumplings, squid, fish balls, meat balls, shrimp,
tau fu, “fu zuk”, various types of veggie and etc. It was definitely worth the
price as they served really big portion of ingredients when compared to other
restaurants. To be honest, the dumpling was delicious and fully filled with
generous meat and other ingredients as well. *recommended*

Seafood Set | 海鲜套餐 RM 18.90

It included various types of seafood such as clams, oysters,
shrimp, slices of fish and crabmeat, ‘fu zuk’, various types of veggie and etc.
I would say that this was worth the price as well. *recommended*

Lamb Slice | 羊肉片 RM 10.90

Fresh and thick slices of meat served. This was an additional
ordered which written in the menu. Besides, they do serve other types of meat
as well. However, I still love beef meat.

Homemade Pork Meatball | 手打猪肉丸 RM 8.90

It was made with generous amount of pork meat with mixture
of ingredients in it. *recommended*

P/S: NON-HALAL

Peach & Passion Fruit Tea | 水蜜百香茶 RM 3.00 & Ice Tea | 雪茶RM 0.80

They used Ahmad Tea: Peach & Passion Fruit. I love the
strong fragrant smell of peach. It can easily get from supermarket and...I bought
it!

Overall, I do love their steamboat set meal portion, but not
when comes to their soup base. Perhaps, they should improve on it in order get
a long lasting business, as good soup base is one of the key to attract
customers like us.

Besides, they do offer set lunch and students entitle to get
10% when show their ‘student ID card’!!

I will definitely come back for this again! *thumbs up*

Korean Country Delights

I went
there with my girls last Friday. We went to search for Korean food and took
quite long time as the mall is too big.

Once we
reached, it was fully seated and we waited by standing aside for approximately
20minutes. The staff passed the menu to us ONLY IF we asked. The size of the
shop is quite small and fit not less than 20 to 30 people by sharing tables.

So we
quickly browsed through the menu and ordered. We also need to wait for few
minutes to get our food ordered as they looked like lack of staff.

Refillable
side dishes were served once took our ordered. Anchovies (my favorite), kimchi
and some kind of vegetables.

Dol Sot Bim Bim Bap

Stone pot
rice mixed with vegetables, egg, chili paste and chicken / beef. So we chose
chicken. It is meant to be mixed before eat it. The fragrant of the rice was so
good when mixed with more seaweed. It
was not spicy for me (I love spicy food). Overall, it was good.

Jab Chae RM 15.90

Stir fried glass noodle with vegetable and chicken (you can choose beef as well). The glass
noodle was well-cooked and matched with the sauce and other ingredients. I
personally love it if it serves with beef. One of my favorite Korean dishes. *recommended*

Kim Chi Bokem Bab RM 14.90

Kimchi fried rice with egg. The
spiciness of the kim chi was just right and love the texture of the rice cooked.
However, it was just a normal dish. It did not impress me much.

Tuk Bokki RM 14.90

Spicy rice cake with fish paste and vegetables. The rice
cake was spongy and the sauce was not too concentrated. It tasted better when
compared with the one at Bee Won, but not up to expectation. It would taste
better if served with CHEESE.

Pa Jeon RM 11.50

Seafood pancake with spring onion. Mostly flour,
and served with few small pieces of octopus. It was not up to expectation and
the sauce served was not spicy. I would still prefer the one at Hao Xiong Di.

Overall, satisfied
with the lunch and would like to visit to other branch again.

Cupcake Chic @ Avenue K OK May 17, 2014

It was the first time I bought cupcakes at here. And at the same time, they’re having deals on Groupon now, so without hesitation, I purchased it out of my curiosity.

It is located at Avenue K, near to 7Eleven and Noodle Shack.
They do sell cupcakes and macarons at there. I heard that there are 24 flavors of cupcakes at their store. However, it has different flavors of cupcakes for different days.
So, I bought different flavors of cupcakes.
It was surprisingly tasted good!!lollol
The spongy cupcakes were moist and fluffy in texture. It didn’t taste like other normal cupcakes that I usually buy. The sweetness of frosting was just right and matched perfectly with the cupcakes.
You should have a try at least once!!

Cookies 'n' Cream
Ccookies and cream cake with vanilla frosting.

Othello
Belgian chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. I personally love the vanilla frosting as I’m one of the vanilla fans instead of chocolate.

Back to Basics
It is the most common cake but tasted so good! It was vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. It was a fully vanilla flavor!

I will definitely visit to there again!! smile
