Hummingbird Cake Smile Jul 28, 2012

It is also known as the "banana cake" here at Whisk whereby the origin hummingbird from the US consist of crushed pineapple and banana and whipped with cheese cream. I never try that so can't really compare, but the hummingbird cake here does have a perfect texture with less dense, solid and compact inside out. The banana flavour is bursting through out the cake with great aromatic scent overwhelming the pineapple. The cheese cream was rich and flavourful with crushed nut on top of it and is spread equally across the cake. It is something special with great taste and not too sweet to my liking and is highly recommended

Wantan Noodle Soup OK Jul 27, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles

The stall is located nearby Nasi Lemak Bumbung in Seapark and is situated right in the middle of the dark road. The seller would often throw the noodle high up in the air while preparing the wantan noodle before serving to customer. It is quite expensive judging that it is a road stall dish but it taste quite good in return. The noodle is well cooked without being soggy and is rather thin in texture. There are few chop of BBQ pork which was simply sliced in my opinion and few wantan in the soup. The taste of the soup is flavourful and had manage to add saltiness to the plain noodle.

Don-Don Wazen Smile Jul 27, 2012   (Related Review)

The Don-Don Wazen cost around RM32.90 but there's more than the price you paid for. It comes with mini unagi rice bowl with scrambled egg and mini chilli raw salmon rice bowl, assorted tempura, chawanmushi, appertizer, miso soup and fruit of the day. The unagi and salmon are fresh and I especially love the unagi for the sweet sauce and the salmon for the fresh crunch in it. Overall it is very filling even though there were mini bowl and it is good to try out more taste in one meal.

Tsukune Nabe Smile Jul 27, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Food court | Ramen/Udon/Soba

The Tsukune Nabe which cost around RM16.90 is one of the recommended dish as stated in its menu. It is made of chicken meat balls, white tofu, assorted vegetables and starch noodle in steamboat served with milk soup with candle fire below it. The soup wasn't too milky but had the texture of it and the noodle is nicely cooked. The chicken meatball does not just look great in presentation, it is explosive with strong flavour and very chewy.

Shoyu Ramen OK Jul 27, 2012   (Related Review)

The shoyu ramen here look pretty decent and plain but offer an satisfying taste to the taste bud. The noodle is nicely cook and have the springy and firm texture and is accompanied by sliced mushroom, 2 slice of pork, half sliced boiled egg, and some seaweed. The soup is however slightly salty but it is at acceptable level where I actually love it. Overall taste is rather unique and pretty well balanced with the seaweed not over taking the entire dish
