Wantan Noodle Soup OK Jul 27, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles

The stall is located nearby Nasi Lemak Bumbung in Seapark and is situated right in the middle of the dark road. The seller would often throw the noodle high up in the air while preparing the wantan noodle before serving to customer. It is quite expensive judging that it is a road stall dish but it taste quite good in return. The noodle is well cooked without being soggy and is rather thin in texture. There are few chop of BBQ pork which was simply sliced in my opinion and few wantan in the soup. The taste of the soup is flavourful and had manage to add saltiness to the plain noodle.

Shoyu Ramen OK Jul 27, 2012   (Related Review)

The shoyu ramen here look pretty decent and plain but offer an satisfying taste to the taste bud. The noodle is nicely cook and have the springy and firm texture and is accompanied by sliced mushroom, 2 slice of pork, half sliced boiled egg, and some seaweed. The soup is however slightly salty but it is at acceptable level where I actually love it. Overall taste is rather unique and pretty well balanced with the seaweed not over taking the entire dish

Fish & Chips OK Jul 27, 2012

While in the morning you can find variety of local delight in Hup Soon restaurant, at night there's only one stall open and it serves only western cuisine. Every meal comes with a complementary garlic bread which is soft and aromatic. The garlic butter is very tasty and there's some crunchy in the bread due to pan grilled.

Even though the fish & chips look good but there is nothing much to shout about. Not saying that it is bad but it tasted ordinary without anything special to differentiate it from others. I did somehow request for black pepper sauce from the stall and they gave me without charge. The sauce is thick and rich with black pepper which is according to my liking. The fish had a soft meat and there were fries and salad. I didn't really like the frozen vegetable salad though.

Dried Meat Bun OK Jul 27, 2012   (Related Review)

Besides the chicken floss bun, you can opt for dried meat bun which is bigger in portion and have more ingredient in it, but of course it cost more too.

The long bun have butter spread and is placed on the hot pan to get the crispy in it while the ingredient include chicken floss, dried meat, cucumber and ketchup / chilli. There's a well balance of sweet and salty in it and it taste as good as you could smell, but there is no strong present of aroma in this because it wasn't pan fried with whipped egg.

Chicken Floss Bun OK Jul 27, 2012

The stall selling this in SS2 Pasar Malam can be located just nearby the entrance to SS2 Selera Makan. You'll see this Chinese auntie preparing and pan frying lots of bun as illustrated above

The bun is stuffed with chunk of chicken floss (used to be generous amount) on the middle and is then dipped into whipped and flavoured egg and then pan fried with butter for that extra aroma. It carry salty taste on the bread and once you reach the chicken floss you will find some sweetness as well. It is good to consume when hot as it will lost its softness when cold.
