Being a chinese, I grew up in an environment where I have to dine in when the dishes are serves hot to avoid being nag and scold. The cold soba is something new to me where I had my first chilled japanese thin noodle. It wasn't bad in my opinion but the soba itself is quite tasteless despite having a smooth texture. The sauce is the bomb where it add in some flavour to the entire meal. Not forgetting soft shell crab, it was superb. It is crispy and meaty and most importantly it is not dry. The crunch and chill taste is a perfect combination I must say.

Noodle Set OK Jul 12, 2012   (Related Review)

The noodle set look and tasted like Nissin noodle, something similar to what Kim Gary offered. I however love and enjoy this probably because there is a standard in term of taste everywhere else. The noodle come with fresh vegetable, fried egg, and slices of rather thick luncheon meat fried till perfection. Noodle wasn't soggy and is aromatically appetizing. The pearl milk tea is slightly behind compared to others in terms of taste. The pearl isn't that chewy and felt kinda tasteless where some of its competitor's pearl have mild sweetness in it. Overall 27C Teatime is a great budget place for drink and meal with less than RM10 per set

Fried Rice Set OK Jul 12, 2012

To differentiate itself from its competitor and to compete in getting a pie of the share market, 27C Teatime serves not just bubble tea which is currently blooming like crazy in Malaysia, they serves set meal too where there's noodle and rice to choose from with choice of their signature drink as companion. The fried rice tasted normal, it wasn't bad neither was it good. Is just typical fried rice with frozen vegetable cube and some minced meat in it. The green tea beer as suppose to be one of its famous tea is indeed standing out from the rest. Not being a beer person I can feel the bitter sweet in my cup of tea while the small blood rush after finishing the cup. I tasted good but wasn't my cup of tea sadly.

Chicken Rice Bowl OK Jul 12, 2012   (Related Review)

Although it sounded weird to me having rice set in a fast food chain restaurant, I still couldn't hold back my curious cat to try on the chicken rice bowl in Popeyes. To be honest, it is a rather disappointment to me. I would have expected fried chicken, but instead I was given shredded chicken breast meat which is quite dry serves with white rice cover with mash potato gravy and some red bean on the bottom of the rice. The red bean doesn't destroy the taste of the rice but I would prefer more red bean and a stronger scent of it. As for now, the red bean sweetness can barely taste. The amount of chicken given is not generous, and overall taste is just average.

Xiao Long Pao OK Jul 03, 2012   (Related Review)

Ever since those open concept restaurant made xiao long pao famous I've seen majority of dim sum shop follow lead and Moon Palace wasn't left out on this. The xiao long pao here however had a rather thick skin which break the very basic rule of this dish. The filling however were juicy and filled with lots of soup, and I find it good in taste and compliment the thick skin pretty well.
