Cafe 9 is a Thai restaurant, that establish itself in Jalan University, Petaling Jaya, since May 2014. It's a family restaurant that hired local Thai chef for the cooking. Here, you got to savour the authentic thai food without need to purposely go Thailand.

You may have heard about Cafe 9, if you were active in PJ area, if you haven't then you should checked this out. A restaurant serving delectable Thai cuisine.

Found this right after the entrance, they do serve this beverage in Cafe 9.

I am absolutely love their welcome soup. It's a sour in an appetizing way, serve hot, soup but in a cup. I actually request for 2nd cup cause I like this kind of taste. By the way, it is subject on the invidual, I felt like I am the only one who is cray cray about the welcome soup. This soup also has a taste of Thai Fish Sauce inside. I personally don't like the taste of fish sauce, but this is good.

Boy friend ordered Latte, and it comes with cute Latte Art! Using Thai Coffee Beans

Guava Asam Boi

Miang Kam (Betel Leaf Appetiser) - RM15.90

Perhaps this is my first time trying some thai leaf appetiser, I didn't expect much on the appetiser. When I saw the presentation, I thought that the salad is not as crunchy as expected. But this appetiser was surprising delicious!

Sauteed dry shrimp, roasted peanut, coconut flake are all fried before serving. Using the Betel Leaf put all the rest of the element, chili padi, lime, ginger, onion and homemade special sauce, wrapping it all, and put into your mouth, munch it and you find assortment of various texture inside! The raw onion is not that spicy as I expected. The homemade special sauce(serving hot) (the lady boss told us different chef would make a different Miang Kam sauce)totally enhance the wrapping.

1.

Coriander Lala Rm 16

I couldn't stop eating this , cause it's a choice of less spicy, and feel like more healthy in someway, haha.

Thai Hot Basil Fish Rm 40 (4 pax). Rm 49 (6-8 pax)

I not sure if Basil has a lot of bones to pick up or not, but this dishes is certainly a delight to see. Simply take the fish pieces, take some of the vege that come along if you like it. It's so delicious!

Thai Omelette Rm 10.90

Looking ordinary, but I enjoy each of the dishes including this plain looking omelette. Initially, I thought the chef has putting some milk into the omelette, but no milk is putting. The way the chef fry using big wok and toss it while frying made this omelette extra fluffy.

VERDICT

Overall, all the dishes serving to us on the day are so delicious. We can really see how the chef is customise each of the dishes that give me surprise, like the crunchiness in the salad, and how much effort they use to prepare the Basil fish. I feel like the description that I put after each food photo is really an understatement. You should really give this restaurant a try, and ask for more spicy if you like it. There is some extra delicious in each of the dishes. Even the plain-looking omelette is so fluffy that it surprise me.

You can scroll to the bottom of this post, to see one of the offer that is Rm 40 for 2 person which is quite attractive for me. Come have a try on their food with this damn worthy combo.

Environment

Open daily, except Tuesday.

This restaurant also accustom to customer. You can bring fish from outside, to let the chef cook. It's a pork free restaurant, if you were muslim who is not too particular, this is where you can try on authentic Thai Food. Fret not, even the Thai Fish sauce they used is certified halal.

Whereas for those who drink wine, you can bring your wine here, cause there already have the wine to cater your wine drinking session.

Wifi , equipped, come here for a taste of Thai , for family, corporate catering or just couple to have lunch, dinner. This has nothing much to do with us, the people who come here to eat, It's actually the place where the waitress prepare beverages. Photo taken by boy friend, Cafe 9 is so easy to find, and it's located at the corner of shoplot.Found out this before I left. It's only Rm 35-45 for 2 person, which is damn worthy, esp after I tried their fish cake, and Tom yum,I know the price is damn worthy~~

SS2 Restoran Loong Seng Dim Sum Smile Oct 18, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum | Porridge

Prety or not? My camera really did a good job.

Talking about the past raya weekend. Usually our family went to travel during raya. This time my parents came to KL because I was having internship there. We stayed in hotel nearby, Hotel 99. And the next morning, we have our breakfast here. A good place to have some dim sum in SS2 area. Overall, the food was delicious, I not sure about the price, because we were not given a receipt upon paying then.

It was a Saturday morning. and what draw us here is the amount of crowd. The amount of people was too much, not only several tables were lining up on the roadside, some of the big group still have to wait, and it has first floor space for dining too.

I actually quite like this food heater, It contain the flaky crispy egg tart! Egg tart available at Rm 1.80 for 1.

Wu Kok (Deep fried Yam Puff) with flavour peas and minced pork inside. Rm 2 per pieces.

Most of the food here, were priced at RM 3.80 for a mini metal plate.

Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom~~~ Since there was too much people at the ground floor, we were placed at the first floor. I feel like eating at the ground floor is better, because you get to eat the fresh from overn food, like the first floor.

The waiter will come with a huge palate of dim sum for you to choose. Which it might not be the entire range of food. =(

Their pan fried raddish cake, sesame ball were all perfectly make. Though it's fresh from oven. Serving hot as well. Aubergine stuff with fish cake.

I am a porridge person, their porridge were not bad too. With salted egg , century egg, minced pork and other. Their rice is boil to real smooth texture. Remind me the rich and mushy porridge from KTZ in SS2 as well.

It's enjoying to have a chill Longan Tou Fu Fa while having hot dim sum as well. This dessert is pleasantly sweet, available at Rm 3.80 per bowl. Now, there is another choice of place for breakfast in PJ area. Definitely , I will not come here alone. Perhaps going with a brunch of friends? And this restaurant open until 2.30pm (3.30pm on Sat & Sun), so it's a good news even if you wake up late too. Came even make a lunch here.

This picture basically explain about P.S Tokyo , except the highlight the

Hojicha & Matcha Softserve Ice-cream!!!

First,

you might wander, why the name P.S. Tokyo?

A
postscript (P.S.) is an afterthought, thought of occurring after the letter has
been written and signed.[1] The term comes from the Latin post scriptum, an
expression meaning "written after" (from Wikipedia)

According to the bossess here, Sam and Patricia. Her notion is that written after the end is so important that it should not be
excluded. This is the type of enclaved experience they wanted their customers
to have at the end of every visit.

P.S. Tokyo aims to give every visitors a unique Japanese experience by having top notch Japanese dessert and drinks. This is accompany by their cozy environment. Located in the busy business centre of SS2 area. P.S. Tokyo is one of the shop on the first floor, their shop row in the same row with BHP pump station or the Wings cafe there. They created an interior resembling a cozy and quiet minimalist cafe
facing the busy traffic at Omotesando.
Come during the night and sit at the bar for a mesmerizing view which is bound
to create a lasting impression.

Before I moved to Japanese dessert and drinks. There is one unique experience that I guess every instagrammer would love.

P.S. Tokyo also collaborated with Play
Booth Co., for every customers who hashtag #pstokyo in instagram, the photos would be automatically printed out. P.and Yes, you can have these photos for FREE =D .

While halfway shooting, we were all needed something to quench our thirst. So, the boss gave us to try this. Lemon drink. It's quite zesty, and sweet. I would prefer to drink this by mixing this with plain water. And all the drinks here all imported from Japan.

P.S. Tokyo served some really fancy dessert. These cake were all chosed by the boss. Based on the notion that she likes it, so good food should be shared.

Tofu Cheesecake RM 12.90

Initially most of the us quite detest of the syrup that has ginger. But as we tried it, the taste turned out like the ginger taste further elevated the entire essence of the brown sugar syrup. The tofu cake is the quintessential type that you will shake like tou fu fah as you move the plate.

Matcha Milk Chocolate Cake Rm 13.90

Typical taste of Matcha, liket he Matcha kikat. my second favourite cause matcha taste quite good also.

Cotton Cheese Cake Rm 11.90

Appear to be the most ordinary like Cinderella, it is one of the most spongy and moist cheese cake I've ever tried.

Sesame Tofu Cheesecake RM 12.90

Itoen Banana drink RM6.90

I later tried their banana drink that doesn't taste must like banana. sweet and more of like custard pudding. Milky banana drink should be. I've never been to Japan, and even the aluminium can from Japan is one level above those in Malaysia. It's thick and thus can't be crash easily. My bf keep the can since that it's cute design, and rigid.

here comes the hot drinks

For the tea, there were 3 major type of Japanese tea (Rm 6.90 each)

Hojicha (Roasted Tea)

Matcha (Green Tea),

Genmaicha (Rice Tea)

For the coffee, there have Japanese filter coffee (Rm 5.90 each)

featuring

light

medium &

strong blend.

There were also having the sugar aside, so that you can make your can adjust the sweetness.

I especially fancy the original green tea. the Hojicha not bad too.

Now, there would be the highlight of the P.S. Tokyo~~

So far, there were having 3 flavours of softserve

Matcha

Hojicha (Roasted tea)

Milk

Rm 9.90 for the regular size

Rm 6.90 for the mini size

hojicha (roasted tea) and Matcha softserve

(omg, as I was looking at the hojicha, I am craving for it again! )

The matcha softserve is matcha and milky taste. the Hojicha would be the absent of the milk, but both are equally toothsome. But later on when I was given the chance to squeeze it by ourself. I choose Hojicha cause milk matcha is quite fulfilling if I were to eat it alone.

In the future, they will be more desserts and drinks added to offer more Japanese taste that satiate your tastebuds such as brewed coffee of fresh
charcoal roasted beans from Japan, Matcha Latte and many many more. and I am looking forward to their new flavours of softserve!

Follow and like their page for the latest update. Who knowns There might be free mini softserve soon!

Pork Varieties in Old School Smile Oct 12, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Burgers / Sandwiches

Old School serving Pork Varieties here. Not only that the setting of the ambience is Old School, that evoked the nostalgia of Malaysian. Here, I like to describe this restaurant in childhood Nostalgic tone......

School bell rang , and Class started. Omg I better sneak in quitely, before teacher saw me, else I would be punished for the late coming.

My school is Old School, located in The School, Jaya One. I like to come here, because it has air cond. So far it's the only school in Malaysia that serving delicious Pork dishes.(no offence to my muslim friends, but I appreciate the diversity of culture here in Malaysia) Not one dish, or 2 dishes, but basically everything here has pork.

When I was young, this was I got to school every day #truestory. Usually, I am not the girl who is ready in the queue, but the one running behind, except that I was in pony tail.

These are my classmate, we came here together and eating together. There are Jessie (from left), Pooi Yee and Jack.

Oh yea, because I scored 10/10 in spelling, so I was rewarded these 90's snacks by teacher. Thank you teacher. I will study harder (but not guarantee will came punctually, oops)This is the exercise book of my senior. It look like this. It is really hand written by students. After the senior graduate, his book was used as the menu in Old School. OUr Old School established in 2012, with the philosophy Pork, We are the Best I am glad that I no need to clad in uniform, although those uniform were quite pretty to put on. For those who study here everyday. There were clad in this Scotland grid style of uniform, so adorable!

(There are waiters here =D )

Also, Old School is not only the classromm that has air-cond, but it served e porky foods! Yum yum. Let's see what you can found here.

Old School Nasi Lemak RM 29.90

I tell you, this pork rendang is so tender & flavourful, you will never expect the pork rendang could be so succulent. This is because they use only specific part of the pork to make rendang.

If you feel like the assortment of every type of pork is to fulfilling. You can opt for with only one type of pork dishes. For me, I would definitely go for Nasi Lemak with Pork Rendang that is Rm 14.90. You may click to enlarge the pic below to see clearly about the other type of nasi lemak that served here. click to enlarge the pic below to see clearly about the other type of nasi lemak that served here.

Next, we have Assorted Hungarian Mangalica Pork Sausages (3pcs)

Mangalica Pork is a species of pork origin in Hungarian, and it's hairy.

The 3 pieces of the sausages here are in garlic, original and spicy flavours.

Assorted Hungarian Mangalica Pork Sausages (3pcs) RM 29

here in Old School, they encourge patrons to eat it without any sauce, to taste the freshness or the meat, the taste the distinct flavour in each of the sausage, same goes to some other dishes.

Oh yea, and they served Char Siew Curry Laksa here in Old School like every school canteen has curry mee too. Serving with yardlong bean, toufu and bbq pork , tongue . The curry mee might not be spicy enough, hence sambal was there.

Char Siew Curry Laksa RM 12.90

On left: Cucumber , Celery, Lemon Juice RM 7.80

On right: Bitterground with Pineapple RM 6.80

Because it's haze outside, and so you can choose some detox drink here. Not only the combination here is so super pack with vitamins. It taste nice too. Come come, quench your thrist here after some porky dishes.

Old School Pork Burger RM 18.90

Because we the students like to have burger! and the fried wedges. So here is the burger palate! Having ham, patty and bacon together is wholesome. It's not that it's to thick you can feed all into your mouth, you can!

Pork Bolognaise Spaghetti RM 13.90

Spagetti in Malaysian way, taste like nasi lemak.

Old School Pork Cutlet RM 24.90

Despite it look so ordinary, it is a bit salty that suit my liking.

BBQ Pork Rib RM 34.90

Judging from the appearance,(& my last experience), I expect it to be hard to bitten., but it's succulent and moist. The BBQ sauce seem like do not only remain on the surface. but it goes into the meat. And well, flavoursome!

Before any of of the pork steak, cutlet here. the palate has been balanced by the simple salad that has cherry tomato. And if you wandering , why there is no any seasoning for the sauce, it has been seasoning with pineapple dressing.

Old School Pork Salad with House Pineapple Dressing RM 15.90

With Pork Lard on top, and pineapple fruit. I feel that my dad would love this salad more. for he is someone who do not like to eat western. But this seem so chinese-western fusion.

Banana Split RM 11.90

Old School Affogato RM 9.90

The coffee used here is the local coffee that is super thick. The Vanilla ice-cream toppped with Orea crumble.

By mixing everything together, this seem like a heaven for coffee lover. It's flavoursome coffee ice-cream!

Old School is designed as it is so spacious, and 90's school theme decorated. Guess you would find this familar to you. A 90's school canteen. With my familar snacks and toys in small boxed that I used to addicted during my childhood. Hehe.

Old School also provide a service for party and events . As a school theme restaurant, I find everything decoration here is so impressive. Beyond colourful, coz I like all paintings here.

**Back to the childhood nostalgic tone This is how my classroom look like. See, my friends painting were selected by teacher, and put to display.

Chocolate Milkshake

Noming my favourite chocolate milkshake while waiting for the school bus to go home. Since it's too big for one. We shared with our classmates.

This is my portion, it's so petite hence adorable! Must finish this, because I don't get to drink something cold when I'm home. (sucking...the straw enjoyably)...School bus arrived, I gotta go home. Bye~~~

This is so delicious I tell you. Sweet tooth would have love it! It's quite fulfilling as it has not one, not 2 but 3 scoops on vanilla ice-cream (with so much calories content) and the delicious, mild biter, chocholately chocolate fudge like brownie. It's a wholesome I would purposely come just for this. Because we seldom made visit here. Even bf whom seldom take food photo also take photo. But when I wanna taking a photo of him ,t aking photo, then he cabut . you coward ~~ yukThe proof that this Lava Brownie is too awesome, even each of us has one burger on ourown, we still manage to stuff this heavenly fulfilling brownie to the last drop. Try it! you will never regret heart

Wifi is quite weak in first floor. It endless time to upload pic into facebook in the end I use my own mobile data.

By the way I have recently compile my list of Top 5 food to eat in Seapark, a small yet compact neighbourhood in Petaling Jaya.
