Burger King Singles Black Pepper Smile Sep 04, 2013

Burger King has this promotional meal similar to McDonald's which is priced at RM 5.95 with a few choices. I took one of them which is the BK Singles Black Pepper. Each meal, as expected, comes a regular french fries and a drink. For the drink, I opted for the Heaven & Earth Ice Lemon Tea, which I would need to pay an extra RM 1. If not, it'll be just soft drinks. The burger itself is actually quite small and quite plain. Well, you get what you paid for. The burger still taste excellent though but there's not much black pepper 'feel' in the sauce. Having slightly more would benefit the taste buds but it should not be overdone.

This is a rather simple dish with only mashed tuna on the rice and seaweed. I'm not really a big fan of tuna so this one comes out as pretty decent. The taste is rather normal like when I'm making tuna bread tongue Of course this taste much better than mine... Could do with more ingredients, maybe adding a bit of flying fish roe? or cheese? Oh I know, some crabsticks mixed into it would be good...

This delightful looking sushi is a perfect combination of shredded crabsticks, mayonnaise, flying fish roe, rice & seaweed.
The shredded crabsticks are mixed with mayonnaise and place on the rice. A small amount of fish roe is then placed on top of the crabsticks. One serving consist of 2 pieces. Mine was not perfectly done as one of it has visibly less fish roe than the other but not a big issue here. I love both the main ingredients here so it's no surprise that this comes out delicious!

Often times, the simple things in life are the best. The same can be said of this dish made of rice & omelette only! The omelette is shaped like a rectangle and placed on top of the rice. Since this piece is rather large to be put into the mouth at one go, I normally cut it in half. Dip the omelette into soy sauce and rub some onto the rice. Then proceed to take both half and let it disappear into your eager stomach. Best!

Oh, flying fish roe on rice wrapped with seaweed, what a combination!!! For those who likes to eat fish roe (like me), this is the 2nd next best thing to heaven. The first being the other one with bigger fish roe... Hehe... Back to this smaller & cheaper version, when dipped into the soya sauce, the feeling of chewing tiny bits of 'balls' with some slight salty taste is just heavenly. Great dish!
