Signaature Macau Pork Chop Bun Smile Nov 10, 2013

Signature Pork Chop Bun

Signature Pork Chop Bun

We visited this outlet at Jaya 33 today for lunch as we were attracted by the Macau food offered especially the Signature Pork Chop Bun! The moment we entered the door that was opened by the waitress, the queue quickly formed and we waited for about 10 minutes before we could place our orders.

We ordered two sets of the Signature Pork Chop Bun that comes with either a hot/cold Macau Lei Char or Coffee or soft drinks. We choose the Macau Lei Char and it really tasted great, like the original in Macau. However, the hot version will be better as we ordered the special tea with less ice.

Next was the Signature Pork Chop Bun and one bite into it, I bit into the t-bone that is part of every Signature Pork Chop in the bun and realised that it was not meant to be eaten like a burger at all! So, we had to use a knife and fork to eat the Signature Pork Chop Bun, hmm... (better for them to remove the T-bone and just leave the pork chop bone free). smile The outlet is run like a burger joint with self-service but this is even better than McDonald's across the road as you had to wait for your number to be called before collecting your order (and this took another 15 minutes!). sad

Overall, the Signature Pork Chop Bun tastes good and the Macau Lei Char is really good. Will definitely come back again but price wise, it is a little high for a fast food styled eatery. smile

Dual Combination Wanton Noodles (Dry)

Had dinner at this restaurant one evening and discovered that the dry wanton noodles were very good indeed. What was surprising is that the dual combination of char siew and roast pork were very good and also the roast duck noodles too! The service was good and the staff were attentive. So this is a good place to revisit again in the near future. The only thing is that the food prices are on the high side for a shop based restaurant.
