Spaghetti Aglio Olio OK Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

Pig Out Cafe's menu is rather small, only 1 page but be sure that they are packed with all porky goodness

Counter where it's near the kitchen. The restaurant looks like a fully family run business.

The interior is neat and tidy with ample amount of space to cater small or large crowd alike

I ordered the special not-in-the-menu spaghetti aglio olio. It took them a while to serve. The pasta was a bit hard for my liking. And the pork bacon bits were small and little. What I like about this dish is the halved cherry tomatoes that added a bit of exciting, sourness to the otherwise, quite mediocre pasta.

Spending per head: Approximately RM16

POC Chops Smile Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

Having demoralized with the POC roast, I was greeted with quite a surprisingly plate of POC Chops. The chops are nicely marinated and perfectly grilled. Although the meat was thick, the insides was well-cooked. I like the fact that it's grilled until it's slightly charred. For sides, we have a scoop of mash potatoes and another scoop of coleslaw, both were decent but nothing extraordinary. For RM16, this is a much better option and taste better too.

Inari Sushi OK Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

My mom is a fan of inari sushi but not me. I don't mind trying one though. I prefer my inari to be stuffed with more stuffings like crabmeat but my mom prefers it plain. So out of curiosity, I tried the plain inari sushi. It was alright, sweet tofu skin with rice. I still dip it in shoyu and wasabi because I prefer my sushi to be savoury and slightly spicy. Sweet sushi is still unique to me and it will take some time to sink in, if at all.

Tuna sushi Smile Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

The tuna sushi tasted quite decent. The amount of mayo versus the amount of fish flakes was adequent so it didn't feel overwhelmed with creamy mayo nor did it taste dry with the fish flakes. The seaweed was already softened with served so it wasn't so fresh. It was a bit hard to bite off. It can be quite a mouthful if 1 whole sushi is eaten. I like mine served with a bit of shoyu and wasabi for the extra kick!

Edamame OK Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

Although cheap, this plate of edamame is not exactly worth it. The skin is very thick so we are left with a small bean. The beans were also stuck with the tiny branch and it can be quite annoying eating off it. And we finish off pretty quickly because of the small portion. In the end we have to get another plate. It taste decent though and would be great to go with beer.
