lamb tandoori and chapati Smile Nov 04, 2013

i always believed that to enjoy true Indian food, you need to go to an Indian restaurant
however the chef at tonka bean created a tasty lamb masala and a nice and warm chapati bread to go with it
of course they had other common curry dishes to go with the chapati but using lamb for the masala was indeed a fusion twist of western influence and Indian cooking
this is because they usually go for mutton instead
the masala was very fragrant but not too spicy, i suppose it is to cater to the foreign tourists who stay at the hotel

beef bento Smile Oct 21, 2013

i always look for set lunches in KLCC because usually for dinner or weekends the food are so much more expensive
here i found a bento set at koryo won for RM25++ and the portion is quite large that you can share with a friend
all bento sets come with rice and korean side dishes but you can choose your own main course
you can have lamb, chicken, beef and many more
the beef main course that i tasted was rather on the sweet side
it was stir fried with cabbages and glass noodles

vege galore OK Sep 27, 2013

for those vegetarians out there, pizza hut has a vegetarian option called veggie galore
but for those who are strict vegetarians who do not eat products from animals, then you probably cannot eat this pizza at all because there would be cheese which comes from dairy
although it is veggie galore, i feel that it is like a hawaiian pizza because they put pineapples
I wonder if they know that pineapple is a fruit
instead i think they should put more mushrooms and capsicum because i could hardly taste the vegetables

spinach with century egg Smile Jul 19, 2013

1919 is a very spacious restaurant with very unique interior design
it has dark walls and little figurines and display decor where ever the owner can find a place to put it
people will think that spinach is a normal vegetable and not fit for a classy restaurant like 1919
however the chef made a twist of it and made it very luxurious
the sauce has egg white in it
the portion size is also very big

original pretzel Smile Jul 04, 2013
Categories : Western variety | Stall / Warung | Halal | Sweets/Snack

auntie anne's at klcc always has a long line of customers even though there are two cashiers working and more than 5 others baking the pretzels
their best selling is the original pretzel which is mainly flour and butter
but you must eat it hot or it will turn soggy when it is cold
when it's eaten warm it's crunchy at the bite but soft on the inside
it's best enjoyed with auntie anne's iced lemonade
