My mother always come here whenever she visits Paradigm Mall. Now I know why. The price is quite reasonable here.

My friend ordered the seafood kimchi jjigae set for RM 17.90. It contains small pieces of prawns, octopus tentacles, tofu and also a lot of Korean glass noodles which are my favourite. The rice also looks very beautiful and fluffy.

Each set came with 4 very small side dishes consisting of kimchi, green spinach, thinly sliced tofu pok and hard-boiled eggs that tasted near to Taiwanese style and also a salad. The salad is quite unique because it is dressed with orange juice. I always like Korean spinach because there is not a drop of oil and I always wonder how they cook it yet it looks fresh.

On the other hand, I ordered the Doenjang jjigae set which consists of a special soup with a lot of spring onions, flower roots, tofu. The soup is quite smooth and clear and tasty, very refreshing.

The hot Bori Cha which if Korean barley tea is quite refreshing and warm and cooling for the throat.

The whole bill came up to RM 41.60. Quite ok.

We were greeted by a cute blond Malay waitress who handed us a small menu with a smile so that those in the queue could order their food or at least think of their orders. She even went the extra mile to find out for me which number is the customer at the cashier. This place deserves 9/10 rating for service even though it is a fast food or self-service cafe.

The place was teeming with students and it makes you look young hanging out here. I wanted to come here another time but failed because the queue was too long.

I ordered the Flavour of the Month, Cthulhu (pronounced Ke-Too-Loo) at RM 16 which I had a hrd time pronoucing at first. It comprised of the most tender and soft beef, sandwiched between 2 pieces of charcoal bread like all the burgers here. I like the nacho type ingredient and also the fried avocado.

My friend ordered the other Flavour of the Month - Geisha (RM 15) which has very tender, thick, fresh and succulent chicken meat in between with seaweed and zucchinis, which then made my mouth water.

We added RM 6 to the burger to make it a set which meant a bottomless soft drink and also the best and freshest and crispiest french fries in the world.

For my wesak day celebration lunch, my friend suddenly felt the craving for Japanese food so we went to this place as it is the most affordable Japanese dining restaurant with a fantastic ambience that we know of. It is much cheaper than sakae sushi too and the best part is the freshness of the sashimi.

Each sushi here can cost as low as RM 1.80 or RM 1.50 to RM 2.50 RM 3.50 for raw sashimi like tuna, maguro, tuna belly, avocado, crabmeat, ebi etc so I went on an ordering frenzy and ordered 7 sushi!

My friend ordered the Grilled Teriyaki salmon (RM 14.90) and added RM 10 for the rice, miso soup and also chawanmushi which was a great deal. The grilled salmon was incredible.

The tea was also tasty too.

The whole lunch only cost less than RM 50 which was amazing.

Daorae has the cheapest and most worth it Korean food ever. So we came here since we are on low budget.

As usual, my friend ordered the Tofu Kimchi Soup (RM 20). This time it was a bit oily but still ok. There was a lot of onions. The portion was also much more than the Korean place at One Subang.

I ordered the fish pollack soup (RM 20), my first time having fish in my whole Korean food experience in my whole life. The fish pollack actually turned out to be dried fish or what the chinese would call salty fish. But it was not salty at all. The fish was very fresh too and quite tasty, except dried fish did not suit my pallate much as I prefer the normal fish or raw Japanese sashimi. The soup had just kimchi cabbage with the fish and Japanese bean sprouts. The bean sprouts were so fat and fresh. The outcome of the soup was a smooth taste.

Each set comes with a bowl of Korean rice which would otherwise cost RM 5 if ordered separately.

The barley wheat tea is free here. And every table has one tupperware of it.

After the meal, each patron is served a cup of sweet drink. I did not like the taste as it was too sweet.

There were 8 side dishes such as :

1. Radish Kimchi
2. The traditional cabbage kimchi
3. Fishcake/Pancake - dislike
4. Spinach - OK, not oily
5. Potato Slices with kimchi taste - quite ok
6. Fresh fat bean sprouts - tasty
7. Mayonaise macaroni salad with cucumber slices - thank god the mayonaise was not as thick as the one at section 14 PJ
8. Kacang Botol with Korean paste - the best and so fresh

The place was so full of people that I saw a family waiting for a table outside the restaurant! I am definitely bringing my BFF here next time round.

Table Talk Smile May 01, 2014

I have never been to TTDI before so we decided to come here to catch up on each other's news after such a long time. I was surveying the restaurants and spotted this place called Table Talk and it happened to be opened till 10.30 pm.

We both love duck so we ordered duck dishes. My friend ordered the Duck slices with a type of special flour wrap. There were slices of cucumbers and also onions as well as a koisin sauce. The ingredients were like peking duck except that the wraps were not paper thin and the duck were cut differently.

I had the duck salad which is very tasty. I guess they probably used the same shredded duck but with salad and also baby tomatoes. The result is very delicious though it is easy to make.

The duck has a tinge of saltiness inside.

My friend ordered the iced mocha with a chocolate sauce on the sides. Very beautifully done.

The place is also very romantic with candles on each table. There are also table setting for a more sophisticated dinner with the family. The ambience definitely suits the name, Table Talk. I particularly like the glass door with the unique painting of people dining. The owner must be very artistic as there were a lot of wonderful paintings everywhere.

The bill for both of us was RM 54. Quite ok and more reasonable than other fancy commercialized places that does not come with tasty unique food.
