Kimchi Jiigae OK Sep 24, 2013

I love korean food and the one thing that I must order when I'm in one is their Kimchi Jiigae. I kinda use the Kimchi Jiigae as a stand point on whether or not the restaurant is up to a certain quality. Its like saying whether or not the mamak serves good roti kosong or teh ice. First impression.

Anyway, this Kimchi Jiigae wasn't exactly really good. It was just a mere average stew. It wasn't too spicy nor salty but it was lacking in flavour. However, the ingredients prepared in the soup was quite a lot. Overall, its an okay bowl of stew.

Rm15 Durian Buffet OK Sep 24, 2013

Durian is a famous fruit in Malaysia, also known as the King of Fruits. Its pungent and strong aroma would pierce right through your nose. Some may say it stinks but some may say it smells like heaven. Same goes for the taste, some would hate it and some would like it. Durian SS2 (With yellow shirt) served one of the cheapest and most affordable edible durian. Other stalls set their price at RM9 for buffet but the quality was really bad. However, the durian served here was actually pretty good with a few bad ones. Out of 10, atleast 6 would be edible.

I love salad, especially when they decide to add a little meat in the salad topped with some sauce. What you get here is a regular salad with crispy chips and grilled chicken topped with barbeque sauce. The salad wasn't exactly the best, but it was slightly above average compared to salad outside. The chicken was a little dry for me but the sauce kinda covers it up.

Cawanmushi OK Sep 22, 2013   (Related Review)

I believe, in every Japanese restaurant possible, there will always be cawanmushi on the menu. Its almost impossible for one to neglect the existence of the smooth and eggy cawanmushi. Everyone loves cawanmushi. Anyway, the cawanmushi prepared by Sushi Zanmai was pretty decent as well. It was smooth, but not the smoothest I've tried and it was flavourful. There were chicken, mushrooms and rice cake inside the cawanmushi. Overall, its a decent flavoured cawanmushi.

Bak Kut Teh with Soup OK Sep 22, 2013

A claypot filled with delicious pork meat, ribs, enoki mushrooms, cabbage and tofu pok. Along with additional fried "You Tiao", it was simply amazing. The soup was rich filled with various level of flavour. Each element in the soup contributed a small part towards creating an awesome soup. Furthermore, the pork meat was cooked perfectly; tender, soft and really juicy as well. Enoki mushrooms are my favourite so I have no complains. Overall, its a good bowl of Bak Kut Teh.
