Beef bento set Smile Aug 12, 2013

Sushi Zanmai in One Utama is always packed and long queue. Managed to get in a table of two after 20minutes.
Stirred fried beef in Sushi Zanmai was awesome. Awesome in a way it is not expensive but meat came in big portion, and tender enough to ask for more! Not too salty but just nice to eat with rice. Beef bento set was reasonable in price. If you are not someone that can queue for long, try to go to the Zanmai in Paradigm.

Breadfast bread  OK Jul 16, 2013

Awesome office tower for Monday! Environment was good as well as the food and services.

Bread! Ham breads! It was fluffy and nice! Not too dry yet just in standard. The smell of ham was really good with the bread. I took like three in a row tongue

For a good ham bread, it should not be too thin slice for the ham meat. Besides, it should not bake overtime as it may dry up the moisture content of the bread and in the ham meat.

For this bread in the lounge @ G Tower, everything (taste, texture, moisture content) was well controlled.

Recommended Dish(es):  Ham Bread

Spending per head: Approximately RM10(早餐)

Papadam Chips Smile Jul 10, 2013   (Related Review)

Did I mention about the variety of keropok/ chips serves in Hotel Istana?
It was really really GOOD. I TOOK LIKE 4 rounds just for the Papadam Chips.
The one showed in the picture was chips with spice. It is a famous food in Indian culture and tastes really good and addictive! By means of addictive, it carry the meaning of non-stop eating that chips and keep asking for more.

If you happen to go there for a meal, do left some space for chips. You will not mind that tiny calories.

Seriously, I had never tasted any nice vegetarian buffets in hotel. In my memory, those hotel gave me an impression of 'commercial' vegetarian food i.e, taste is not up to standard

For the buffet here in Hotel Istana, I went for a second round in their vegetarian curry chicken. It was really good!
The curry powder smell was strong and taste just nice. However, it is a bit salty and since I like salty food, I love the curry. For me, in a curry, the most important thing is the thickness of curry, curry smell and saltiness.

Besides, the mushroom like abalone was good in texture, so chewy and QQ.
I just love everything there!

Vegetarian meal Smile Jul 01, 2013

Lunar day for vegetarian food anyone?

For your information, Po Ling Chinese Temple @ Jalan Ampang will be providing free morning breakfast at the temple itself. Fried mihun, fried kuey teow, pumpkin porridge or even vegetarian nasi lemak every morning. You will have to go there and eat and wash/bowl the plates that's all.

So there was one first lunar morning that I felt like taking heavy breakfast and I went to the temple for this!
Their chinese pickled vegetable cooked with groundnut was yummy!!! With a little bit of mihun, satisfied for a perfect morning, wait..they will provide free red beans soup sometimes so yea! PERFECTION.

Price is reasonable. Tastes are good.
