Pad Thai OK May 31, 2013
Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Seafood

At the ground floor of USJ19 mall, there is a Thai restaurant that was recommended by a colleague and so we decided to give it a try for lunch. I ordered the Phad Thai, as it is among one of the signature dishes of Thailand. The dish did not take too long to arrive, but it arrived smoking hot. Upon my first taste of the dish, I find that the Phad Thai here is a little too wet for my liking. However, what I like about this dish is that they gave quite a generous amount of grinded peanuts and fresh crunchy beansprout to serve with the dish. The dish is also served with some medium sized prawns. For RM9.80 it is a little expensive for me.

Chicken Burger OK May 30, 2013   (Related Review)

My friend has a huge appetite, so she decided to order the chicken burger, which sounds like a rather big portion from the menu. When the dish arrived, it was definitely big-portioned. A huge slice of grilled chicken breast meat with avocado puree and slices of tomato sandwiched in between a warm sesame seed bun. There were also some greens on the side, together with some deep fried yam and sweet potato chips. I thought that the chicken breast was a bit dry, but the sesame bun was quite nice, warm and fluffy. Overall just so-so.

Fried Oyster OK May 29, 2013

A franchise of Oyster King was opened in Paradigm Mall, so hubby and I decided to go and try it out. We ordered a plate of fried oyster to share. The portion was medium, not too small. It was a bit salty, but nevertheless still OK. The oysters were fresh and juicy, however, they were rather small. I was expecting them to be bigger. The dish was full of eggs and flour, not that many oysters. Overall, just OK.

Yong Tau Foo Noodles OK May 28, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles | Yong Tau Fu

I was looking for something cost-concious as lunch, since pockets were nearly empty due to the fact that it is mid month. I decided to head over to Eat & Happy Yong Tau Foo to have their set. Costing at RM7.90 for a bowl of noodles and three pieces of yong tau foo, I guess it was quite reasonable. The dry meehoon is acceptable, though a bit dry. The yong tau foo was slightly cold, probably due to the air-conditioning in the mall. I asked them for a bowl of hot soup to dip my yong tau fu in it. With that, it was more bearable.

Sungold Melon OK May 28, 2013   (Related Review)

I wanted to have some fruits after having a heavy meal, as a light dessert. So I headed over to MBG to get some cut fruits. The orange coloured sungold melon looked rather interesting, so I decided to get a pack for RM2. There were four pieces in it, quite decent sized. The first bite revealed that it wasn't that sweet, so I sprinkled some asam powder to make it tastier.
