Very comfortable environment. Food are more to traditional Nanyang style. Price is considered to be moderate, not too expensive. The coffee here is very aromatic and fragrant. Mee Siam is a must try.

Sometimes, eating out can be expensive and as a poor undergraduate student, I always have my solution hahahaha!! It is undeniable that I'm a food lover, yeah, a yummy-food-lover. But spending too much on good food sometime really make me poor! Therefore, seeking for cheap and yummy food will be my life-long target! My choice to have cheap lunch is at Pepperlunch! They have cheap set meal at RM 9.90! Very affordable! And the taste is very good also! The portion is filling as well.

Komugi Breads and Cakes Smile Apr 08, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Stall / Warung | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

At the first sight I thought Komugi is selling fruits also but after double checked I found that these are all breads!!! No I'm not kidding!! They are really breads!! OMG How they made this? Super cute!!!I ordered many breads and cakes. The cream served with the breads and cakes is really light and fresh!! Unlike normal cream which is usually oily and thick, Komugi's cream was served in a Japanese way that it's so light and I feel really healthy!!

Komugi is quite famous of their swiss roll so I ordered one. However, Honey Swiss Roll is the only Swiss Roll that they sell in individual slice, so I have no other choice but to order this. And it was good!! Very soft cakes with a very strong honey taste!! (Actually it tasted like Kuih Bahulu lolllll!!) And again, I love the cream fillings!! How they made the cream to be so soft and light?I really wish to try the Matcha Red Bean Swiss Roll but it only comes in a roll T.T I'm a very big-eater but a roll is still too much for me =3=

After I picked my buns and I handed over to the counter, the waitresses asked me to wait at my seat and I was like "Huh? Then my buns leh?" After waited at my seat for around 15 minutes, my buns were served. (And I was thinking "What is taking you so long to serve my buns huh?)

I had the first bite on my Soft Cheese Bun and my anger was all gone. The bun was piping hot!!! They heated up all the buns before serving to us!! How heart-warming is it!!!

My favorite of the day is Golden Royal Almond. It is is super duper nice!!! Actually it tasted like a Croissant to me!!
The outer layer is super super crispy and it was honey-coated!! I really liked this too much that I couldn't control myself and took away another one before leaving lolll!!

Tuna Boat Bun really surprised me!!! At first I thought it will be just a normal ordinary Tuna bun and after I cut it into half I was totally stunned. There are so many Tuna fillings!!! And there were some onions and cucumber slices inside the Tuna!! So crunchy!! Totally in love with it!!

Krone was nice but not that heavenly nice. But I felt cheated since the Krone was not fully filled with cream, it looked like fully filled but in fact it wasn't.

Scallop Americana Smile Apr 05, 2013
Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Seafood | Halal

The Scallops were very nicely cooked, tender, fresh and juicy. I had bad experience with scallops where they were overcooked and became hard like plastic =.= Luckily Manhattan did it pretty well!! Besides, they served the scallops in generous amount!! Love it!! This is my first try on Scallop Americana and it tasted really good!! A slight touch of spiciness in this dish really waking my taste buds up!! Fresh scallops are important too! The taste of ocean and the spiciness just blended so well!! And another thing that made me to love this dish even more is that there were slices of bell pepper in this dish! Hehe I am bell pepper killer LOL!! I really love this dish. All of the ingredients match each other so well.

Relaxing Lunch Smile Feb 24, 2014

This restaurant is crowded with people during lunch hour. We tried the pork rib ramen and it was very good. The soup is flavourful although it looks very clear. Pork ribs were well marinated and it remained tender, juicy and soft after the frying process.
