 Rice Roll with Shrimps

Rice Roll with Shrimps

I like my rice roll thin but Sheraton's rendition of rice roll was thicker than what I prefer it to be. The skin was a little rough, which could be intentional so it can trap sauces. However the soy sauce was very fragrant and flavorful, and I like the sambal chili which enhanced the flavor to another level. Since Celestial Court is pork free, we decided against chicken and chose shrimps rice roll and the shrimps were very fresh.

Scallop Dumpling

Scallop Dumpling

I would reasonably expect my dim sum in 5 star hotels to be prettier and indeed, it was. Look at this big scrumptious dumpling! What wrapped inside the semi translucent skin were prawn, asparagus & shimeiji mushroom. Huge and fresh prawn, that was for sure. The asparagus gave the dumpling some crunching delight while the dried scallops gave it a slight saltiness.

Salt Caramel : Unique temptation Smile Jul 31, 2012

Salt Caramel Cone

Salt Caramel Cone

By far, the best caramel ice cream I have tried is Loco Gelato's. It was sinful o good! This is a slight variation of it and perhaps Japanese influence? It was unusual to begin with, hence my curiosity drove me to give it a try, not to mention the rest of the flavors are soooo boring. I had mine in cone, which is like my default choice whenever I have ice cream. Unless the ice cream owner gets pissed at me and punishes me with cup ice cream sad

It was not sinfully sweet and slightly salty. I would say it was a nice touch and great invention. Creamy, yes it was! Dense, not so much but average. The one thing I would very much like to HIGHLIGHT about is the uniqueness of the cone used. Instead of the off-the-shelf ice cream biscuit cone, they use waffle cone which tasted so eggy and crumbly. NO, it was not soggy but modest crunchiness. I love the cone alot tongue

Apart from the ice cream, the waiter that served me was appearing to be impatient with my fussy request for testing every single flavor. Hello, even Baskin Robbin's staff did not give me such an impression okay!

Chocolate Hazel Milk Tea with Pudding [RM6.90]

Chocolate Hazel Milk Tea with Pudding [RM6.90]

Whenever I am at Chatime, I would surely order this hazelnut milk tea with pudding. I admit that I am not as adventurous but I really like this hazelnut milk tea. It tasted more like chocolate to me. Texture wise it was very smooth yet you can feel the particles in your milk tea. The pudding was superbly smooth and slurpy. You might get full with this but no, it is not a meal replacement. The large one costed RM6.90 is good for sharing without feeling too sinful smile

Basil Seed Lemon Wintermelon Tea [RM5.90]

Basil Seed Lemon Wintermelon Tea [RM5.90]

Another I would grab to quench my thirst would be this basil seed lemon winter melon tea. Phew, what a long name. At the first sip, I found it too sweet, mainly because I forgot to stir *shy* After blending alittle, it tasted sweet. I would prefer it to be less sweet so I can enjoy faster without stopping to take in the sweetness. The lemon was a nice addition and they even put in the lemon skin to add some kick. The basil seed was indeed a crunching enjoyment. I liked it more than pearls now lol
