Haven-ly food...not Cry Jun 17, 2012

I've always heard people saying "Don't go to a place during peak seasons. And after my experience at Have, I personally subscribe to that saying too.

our 3 course meal was expensive (RM50) but poor.

Mushroom soup was watered down, worst than cambell soup sad

Measly looking scrawny pieces of lamb chop. Worst meal ever.

Fish and chips. Ok, but but not worth the price paid. (This is another main course).

Don't fall for their "premium ice cream". Its just a small 50cents worth of mat kool cup ice cream. Most expensive meal and tasteless of my life :S

Dimsum on an afternoon Smile Jun 17, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

Most places sell dimsum mostly in the morning. I like to eat dimsum through the day too. tongue

Jalan Kenari (the whole stretch of it) has a whole lot of good makan areas, with around 3 dimsum areas. One of it is Yuen's Dimsum, which I found reasonable.

Ginseng Crysenthymum Tea Drink. Around RM3- RM3.50. Refreshing, cold without the ice lol

Siew Mai. Contrary to most places, the siew mai is filled with prawns, which were big and fresh.

Xiao Long Bao. The juices were collected at the bottom in the aluminium foil. It was just nice for one mouthful. smile

Fried lotus pancake. Definitely a must try in my opinion, loved it as a sweet tooth lol

If you ever drop by Puchong, this is probably a good place to stop by to makan. lol

Italian fanfare Smile Jun 17, 2012

Somewhere in Gardens Mid Valley is a lovely place called Italiannies, which has a sexy dim lighting ambiance and lots of space lol

The bruchetta like bread was lovely, with lots of tomatoes on top and looked really elegant too smile

Their rice like dish with accompanying bread. Honestly, it was just awesome! Although the price is "awesome" too...

Their dessert, which was in my opinion the best of all. Creamy enough, portion moderate, melts in my mouth smile

Price is steep (as usual), but a good place to hangout. Oh, try their cocktails/ mocktails too, they have really fancy names for those lol

Awesome Asam Laksa Smile Jun 10, 2012

1 Thing about Malaysia is the food. You have a variety. If I get bored of chinese, I can go for Indian Cusine. If not , there are many others, such as Malay, Japanese, even Korean, BBQ Etc...

Jusco Mid Valley has this place(I think on 3rd floor) which is the space set aside for food. The Asam laksa here is lovely, with just the right amount of curry, ingredients and chillis.

I even saw bags and bags of curry laksa prepared well in advance O.o. Thats how popular their asam laksa is lol

Simply a Star  Smile Jun 10, 2012

The exterior of Star Village is quite enticing, and I finally visited it. Not once, but so far I have gone there at least 5 times.

If you choose to sit outside, you can sit in the wooden enclosed areas that look romantic lol

The interior, nice decorations, American style , homey feeling.

Recommended: Their sun tea. Tastes a bit like ribena, but much nicer and with lemon taste. Expensive but exotic. RM12.90 or so.

Their soup is also worthy of mention, thick and creamy, not the usual watered down cambell like soup. Lots of fresh wild mushroom in it. Again more pricey, RM6.90. but it is worth it for a real mushroom soup lover. Warm your tummy lol

Their combo set, consisting of chicken, fish or beef, lamb slices, and the sides of fries, bun, coselaw etc. Its seriously nice, especially the sides. The bun is soft (BEST!) and the coselaw is made of raddish not cabbage. RM32.90 or so.

Come during lunch time, they have reasonable lunch deals as well, both western and asian variety smile
