Creativity over food quality OK Jul 17, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

We were there and ordered 2 sets of rainbow chicken rice with coffee.

On quality, put it mildly, I will give a 4 at a scale of 10. And why I say so? See below.

1. Rice - yea, it's multi colored with orchid, turmeric, pandan and so on. However, rarely any fragrance and it's quite a disappointing. Rice are served cold, which I do not turn me on.

2. Chicken - I ordered curry chicken and with layman understanding, it's chicken cooked with curry. This shop offers fried chicken with layer of flour cooked with curry. Flour turn soggy and chicken is over-cooked. I can't tell but I really hope this is not overnight unsold fried chicken. Whether if is freshly fried chicken or overnight chicken, the taste really turn me away.

3. Curry - we live in Malaysia, curry is a common dish to us and we have plenty around us. We know what is good curry and which are not. This one, added with starch to improve the gravy body. The gravy has a strong sweet note, more like tomato than curry. Perhaps someone could prefer this, but definitely not me.

4. Pappadum - is not crispy enough. I give a wild guess it's a raining day and resulted moisture picked up, or pappadum was fried days ago. However, our dollar note is not drenched and we are not paying a cent lesser. It's not fair to me for paying full amount and getting a discounted quality food.

5. Coffee - it's big, creamy and it's the best in this shop, I presumed. Anyway, rm 2.90 a cup and I could not think of a reason for not getting a good one

I would recommend this shop for someone always looking for something new, but not necessary something good.

So many workers here... Cry Jun 26, 2016

I seldom post any good experience in eating place, assuming they open door to operate, it's their responsible to provide proper food and service.

This round is Moon Light in bukit indah. I have been there several times and can't think of any good experience. I am there at this moment and finally recalled why I refuse to come for the past 6 months. Their service was lousy. Utterly lousy.

Today, I come again, the service is still the same. When I walk in to the cafe, so one to lead me to seat. We took the seat and soon a lady bring menu over. No one come to take order. It's hard to get the people here. I noticed their staff like to stay inside. One looks-like-more-senior staff saw us waving hands and finally ask others to come out.

Finally I realize moon light hired so many staffs...

Today, Sunday, about 8.30pm, where most restaurants are full house. Here, in moon light, 5 tables out of 15 tables are occupied. Maybe I guess they think their cakes and bread is selling very well and contented with the bakery sales. Why not just close up cafe? I am sure no one will feel a pinch.

Barbecuepork belly Cry Jun 11, 2016
Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | BBQ

We just went there, about an hour ago. Ordered set B, for barbecue pork set, ginseng chicken soup and marinated chicken.

Personally, I never been to Korea, can't tell if it is authentic Korean taste. However, I patronized many Korean restaurant before. This shop is quite different from others that I have tried.

This Korean restaurant prefer to serve burnt meat. A guy helped us to barbecue pork belly. He was there to wait until burnt, then only he turn the meat, and then cut off the burnt part. Same applies on pork rib

Initially I thought it's the guy skill. A lady seems to be a Korean, and seems to be 'owner' level person helped us to barbecue chicken, she did the same. I was frustrated and turn the meat in front of her, as I sensed burnt smell again.

Can someone know better Korean culture to answer ignorant me if Korean like to eat burnt meat?

Plus, they made a platform to let customer to take off their shoes. However, there is no place to store their shoes. This ended up customer simply leave their shoes around and the already narrow passage made impossible for 2 persons to move at same time. It was a disappointing and lousy experience.

Surprisingly, crowd was so full

Dried noodle Smile Apr 30, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Steaks / Chops | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

One two eat cafe... :| sounds lame to me, when friend fix this meeting place. Arriving this place, ah... nothing impressive. Just another "me too" cafe, go in, eat and go.

Picture for dried yellow noodle looks alluring. i go for it while my friend go for curry noodle. Dang dang dang~~ (my own sound effect. No sound made by the restaurant) food arrives and yes, it looks almost identical as in picture.

Condition for a good dried noodle:
1. Dark enough - many petty food operator tried to squeeze out some cost here and there. For this, noodle is enough of soya sauce.
2. Oily enough - Oily does not sounds right for certain group of consumer, but well, who cares? Health conscious? Forget about food taste. And going for good food, stop ieerr this ieerr that.
3. Plentiful of "Keropok" - its essential factor to improve taste. but this is not the true "keropok".
And yes, its all in that bowl.

I am officially enjoyed this much and thank you for the nice food experience.

Nightmare experience Cry Apr 28, 2016
Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches | Halal

KFC is chain restaurants where food and service is standardized. No surprise expected. This particular day, nightmare experienced and no way for me to enter this door ever again.

The lady, printed on receipt name Ayu. No greeting as I usually get in other outlets. Not asking and quietly staring at me. I told her I am 5 piece chicken. When she walked to the back, only ask if I am dining in.

I asked for cutlery, as I saw the chicken is too hot for eating with fingers. She gave me a set of plastic spoon and fork, which used for rice or maybe soup. I insisted should be metal one which I saw it in the drawer. She told me it is not. Eventually take 1 set of metal cutlery from the same place in the drawer to me. I asked for another set, coz ordered for 5 pieces is not for one person. She then continue with her other work and reluctant to give me. I stand there for a minute waiting. She told me to go sit and will give to me (one day, I presumed).

Friend came and we have no choice but continue to eat using our fingers. The lady prefer to stand there do nothing rather than realizing her promised.

Hope this review goes to the management. You got a lousy person that tarnish your reputation
