Sarawak Laksa Smile Feb 22, 2016

I always walk pass this shop, but I never went in before because I thought it was a furniture or antique shop. My teacher bought me her for lunch on Friday and I was surprised that they actually sells food too!

I was told that they were famous for their sarawak laksa which cost RM 16.90, before GST and service charge. So, I ordered a bowl. The portion was quite big but I managed to finish it because I was starving. I actually expected them to give more prawns instead of just 1 since its quite pricey for a bowl oof noodle. However, they did have a lot of fishballs and fish cakes.

Overall, my lunch here was satisfying.

Lack of Man Tou Smile Feb 22, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

Had my annual CNY reunion dinner with some of high school friends. We chose this restaurant because we heard that they are famous for their crabs.

We ordered a few dishes. For instance, beancurd which costs RM9. There was nothing special about the beancurd, it was quite ordinary.

Besides that, we the current hype on salted egg, we ordered salted egg fried squid which costs RM20. It taste as amazing as any salted egg dishes  yummy

We also ordered a plate of Sambal stir fried kangkung for RM9, it was delicious because the amount of sambal used was a lot, it made the dish smelled so good!

Furthermore, we ordered the sweet and sour pork for RM14. It was okay too.
The sauce is loveeee

Last but not least, we ordered what we came for Butter cream crab. As it was the festive season, the crab was over-priced. It was priced at RM86 for 2 crabs. The butter cream sauce pairs greatly with mantou. But unfortunately, they have no mantou on the day. We were quite dissapointed.

Overall, the meal was satusfying.

Bak Kut Teh Smile Feb 19, 2016

In serious craving for Bak Kut Teh but I didn’t feel like ordering the one pot for myself as I was afraid that I could not finished me on my own.

Luckily, the Bak Kut Teh stall in Rock Café sells Bak Kut Teh noodles (Ramen / Yee Mee)! And it was sold at a reasonable price, RM 6 per bowl.
I ordered a bowl of the Ramen Bak Kut Teh, and instantly my cravings was fixed. Though the Ramen given was quite little, but the soup given was a lot! I can literally get full by drinking the soup only. Quite a lot of pork meat slice was given too, though some of it was quite thin. Overall, it tasted great!
The owners of the stall was an old couple, they were very friendly!  As it was still Chinese New Year, they even wished me Gong Xi Fa Cai, how cute! I would definitely come back soon!

XXL Fried Chicken Smile Feb 19, 2016

Shilin is one of the best Taiwanese Street Food Franchise in Malaysia. It is also definitely one of those shops that sells my favourite fried chicken.
Huge, juicy, crispy and delicious

Huge, juicy, crispy and delicious

Their famous XXL Chicken (RM 8, insclusive GST) was indeed huge! It was so huge that it qualifies itself to be my dinner rather than just snacks. Besides being huge, it was also super delicious and finger licking good!
However, this might be suitable for those who are on diet or intend to keep fit as XXL chicken is deep fried. In other words, it is also extremely oily. But, eating this once in a while wouldn’t hurt, right?

Cheapest Lunch in Sunway Smile Feb 18, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese

This is literally all Sunway staffs and students’ favourite lunch spot because they sell the cheapest lunch! When I mean cheap, it is below RM 5!
Cheap and delicious

Cheap and delicious

A plate of chicken rice only cost RM 4.50 (how can you find a meal that cost below RM 5 nowadays?!) Due its price, there’s only a long queue outside the shop. The chicken rice comes with a bowl of soup which is refillable. Unlike the other chicken rice shops that serve you tasteless soup, they serve you delicious soup, it is almost as good as my mom’s soup! Hence, I always request for a bigger bowl of soup.

They sell other types of rice too such as roasted pork and char siew rice at a higher price. But, I always come here for the chicken rice because it’s cheap and tasty!
