Boat Noodleeeee Smile Jan 28, 2016

Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Noodles | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt | Desserts

The boat noodle craze among my friends isn’t over! What is boat noodle? Boat noodle are noodles that were traditionally ate on the boat in Thailand. Traditional boat noodle has some pork blood in it, so thankful that the one we tried here does not have any! Or else.. I would not dare to try it.

I have never been a fan of Thai Food, but this has changed my perspective. There are 2 flavours offered here, Pathumthani and Ayutthaya. Both chicken and beef has these 2 flavours. Each bowl of boat noodles costs RM 1.90 each, exclusive GST and service charge.

I personally preferred the spicier version ( I do not remember which is the spicier one, but the staff there are rather friendly and are always ready to assist you ). As I do not eat beef, I can only choose to order the chicken boat noodles.

The Thai Iced Tea ( RM 6.90 ) here is a must try! It tastes amazing, not like the ordinary milk tea. However, it is a little too pricey as they gave a lot of ice instead of the drink.

Not Just Pie Smile Jan 28, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack

As the picture above say, #NotJustPie. Besides serving famous yet delicious pies, Humble Pie serves other food too. For example, pasta, salad, burger and many more! The famous cafe now have a branch right opposite to Taylor's College Subang Jaya, which is quite a strategic place since most youth nowadays prefer to dine in cafes.

The ambiance here is amazing and the staffs here are so friendly. If you are finding a quiet place to have gathering, this is definitely a place to go as there were no other customers besides me and my boyfriend from 5-7pm.

Now this is what I call Pesto! This Pesto  (RM 16) is absolutely delicious! Finally, a place that serve pesto with basil and pine nuts. What surprised me was the amount of cheese they gave, they were so generous! This pesto can be ordered with shredded chicken with a surcharge of RM 3 only.

Special Roast Chicken - Quarter (RM 20) tasted heavenly. It is perfect, the meat is so succulent and juicy. As my boyfriend is not a fan of greens, we replaced them with roasted potatoes. Forget about fries, roasted potato is now officially my favourite kind of potato! ♥

Unique Smile Jan 28, 2016

My friends and I came here after dinner to have some deserts. The café was quite empty. Softcore has a variety of molten cakes for their customers to choose from. As a result, we took quite some time to decide on one because we were full from dinner and wanted to share one molten cake.We wanted to order the Matcha molten cake at first, but I’m not a fan of red bean, so we decided on the Salted Caramel molten cake (RM 15) instead. Although the café was quite empty, it took the 15 minutes for the molten cake to be sent to us – the time required for the cake to be served is stated on the menu.

I had to mix the Salted Caramel with the vanilla ice cream as the salted caramel was too sweet for my taste bud. The popcorn given tasted like my favourite popcorn - Garretts popcorn.

Besides the molten cake, we also order drinks. We ordered Hot Vietnamese Drip (RM 10) and Ice Vietnamese Coffee (RM 11). It is rare to see café to serve Vietnamese Coffee. The coffee was so good, in terms of aroma and taste! I would definitely go back for it again.
The aroma is incredible!

Best Durian Puff! Smile Jan 25, 2016

Look at all the puffs!

Look at all the puffs!

Taste better desserts really did live up to their name; it really did taste better! I have always known that Taste Better offers durian and yogurt delicacies. However, during my recent visit to Taste better, I realised that they have introduced a new flavour, Soursop. They offers both soursop puff and ice cream. I have yet to try them.
Look at the cream ❤

Look at the cream ❤

I purchased one box of their signature durian puff, which cost me RM 10 exclusive GST. Each box consist of 6 puffs. It is recommended that the puff should be consume in 1 bite to prevent the cream from over spilling. Me being stubborn, refuses to put the entire puff in my mouth, decided to eat it bite by bite. As a result, it was a messy situation. So, next time listen to advice given by the staff! mad

Besides that, I also bought a Durian ice cream cone for RM 4. It taste heavenly! To my surprise, the durian ice cream is actually white in colour. I thought it would be like the usual durian ice cream that you can get from the ice cream vendor outside, which is yellow. At first, I thought the staff have given me the soursop ice cream by mistake. However, after I took my first bite, I was certain that it is Durian ice cream – probably the best that I have tasted, yet.

Wednesday Special :) Smile Jan 21, 2016
Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant

It only cost RM 8.90 for Joshi Josh Kantin's daily set deals to cater for students and staffs of Sunway Education Group. On Wednesday, the set includes Northen Indian Briyani, fried spiced chicken, vegetable with spicy sauce, papadam and free drink.

The was as good as authentic nasi briyani, as I can taste all the different spices and herbs that are used to cook it.

However, the curry given is not spicy. They were very generous with the portion of curry given. So, if you wanna have nasi briyani banjir, it is totally possible!

Downside is the portion of the papadam and the chicken. There was only 3 small pieces of papadam, not like the usual big pieces one that can be found in mamak stall. The fried spiced chicken is quite small but I think it is relatively reasonable for the price; as for the taste wise I still prefer the ones in Village Park, Damansara uptown.

The free drink given for a bit too sweet for my taste bud. Therefore, I would suggest to request for additional cup of ice.

Overall, it was good deal and I would definitely order this again in the future! smile
Delicious!
