汕头街养生汤水铺 OK Dec 30, 2015
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Desserts

It came as a pleasant surprise that another commendable café has sprouted up at Kimberly Street, Penang. Located at one of the busiest street in Penang, Dessert Old Time Delight Shop was surrounded by many hawkers’ stalls, aiming to whip up a robust appetite among budget-conscious crowd. I wouldn’t consider myself is a Tong Shui person but this one really is a well-above-above-average Tong Shui! Thanks to my Penang friends finally I got to try this!

Black Glutinous Rice dessert, a delectable desserts that will make you crave for more! It is made from Black Glutinous Rice, coconut milk and gula melaka. Simply delicious!

Red Bean, a warming and refreshing Chinese dessert made from sugar, dry tangerine peels and red beans. It's a traditional Chinese dessert, and like most, it is like a sweet soup. It can be served hot or cold.

Do not forget to miss out SeeGuo Tang when you are in Penang! A refreshing cold brew of gingko, longan, lotus seed and red bean! MUST TRY OK.
Highly recommended by my Penang friend. Food is affordable and quality, but of course, I'd recommend Penang Street Food anytime.

Llao Llao OK Dec 30, 2015

Categories : Western variety | Stall / Warung | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

In line with the crazy hot weather in Malaysia, Llao Llao has finally landed their first outlet in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The name itself through me off because every of my friend has different pronunciation of it, so I’m just gonna leave it for you to discover the real one. I've always wanted to see what the craze on frozen yogurt all about was, so I decided to pay a visit to join the healthy trend.

Having over 10 varieties of toppings included white chocolate, peach sauce, strawberries, mango, banana, creamy caramel sauce ,muesli , cranberry ,sunflower seeds, almond brittle etc.

Personally I would recommend the special cookie sauce as one of your choices. Somehow it taste like cookies melting perfectly in the mouth with subtle sweetness! It’s very filling so I think it can be a good replacement for a meal if you are on diet.

Finally the healthy little thing that everyone was raving about
A delicious cold snack that can fuel your tummy. Who said healthy food can’t look and taste good? Let’s kick start the day with something other than coffee!

Jogoya -2015  Smile Dec 28, 2015
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Buffet | Group/Family dining

Whenever we planned to have big celebration, JOGOYA would always popup in my head. There’s a lot of people on the day I went, some more it’s a weekday. Probably because of the end year promotion by Jogoya.

Nothing much to shout about the Christmas decoration here, just something usual.
It's a tad pricey to dine here, so be prepared. But sometimes we just have to forget about the price and of coz calories!
When it comes to buffet, my golden rule is, always started from the cooked food. It warmed your stomach up and somehow boosted your appetite to eat more!

Anything that comes baked in a pot, means hearty food for me

A delicious sashimi that can fuel your tummy. Beautifully presented to stimulate your please centre.

The dim sum section, I was told that there were Xiao Long Bao before, too bad I didn’t see any of them.

Jogoya do have the dining direction for some foods, very thoughtful of them!

You can also order cooked food from the Chinese food section! It took roughly 15 mins to prepare.

As for the dessert sections, having over 10 varieties of cakes, herbal soups, cookies, puddings and Marshmallow Chocolate dip each day.Two choices of ice-cream, New Zealand Natural and Haagen-Dazs. They also served cocktail drinks, smoothies, soft drinks, varieties of teas and coffee.Different types of Tong Shui! Really thumbs up for it!
Other than the variety types of fresh foods, I would say that the nice serving from waiters/waitresses was an added point. Would definitely go back again, because you can never try all of the foods if you only came once!

Alchemist Dessert Cafe  OK Dec 21, 2015
Categories : Western variety | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Desserts

Located in a less congested area of SS15 (I think), Alchemist Café targeted most of the budget-conscious students, quickly rise to be one of the potential café in the neighbourhood. I would say that this café had created a pool of regular hip kids to come over for the shisha.Prices were really affordable and the staff was super friendly.Stepping inside you would see the eye-catching funky art.

Bon appetite! Aglio olio spaghetti

Nothing much to shout about the drinks here, above average I would say. The menu ranged from desserts, teas, coffees and mocktails. The usual coffee menu is found and they also offer spaghetti and breakfast set.
But the unique way they presented the drinks was another boom. There was always room for creativity, even the glass! The pasta here was totally worth the price! It’s simplicity at its best. What’s more to ask?

The most Instagram worthy pour over coffee! Enjoy the small experiment of brewing coffee by yourself.
The only thing that is negative would probably be the lightning here. A very cool and chill little spot. But not good for taking pic tho. Wanting to have a plate of satisfied meal wasn’t that difficult. At Alchemist, you can fuel up your tummy at a reasonable price. Who said nice food can’t be cheap and easy to find?

Row your boat- Ahoy OK Dec 20, 2015
Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack | Desserts

I always have a thing for themed café. So here I’m going to recommend a nice pirate-themed café in SS15. Yes! SS15 again! Nothing is going to stop the new entry café to join the neighbourhood. Ahoy, the name itself has reason enough to give you an impression of the café.

Ahoy is strategically located along the ever bustling stretch of café in Subang SS15, just a stone throw away from Cosan Coffee and Brewyard, aiming to whip up a robust appetite among budget-conscious students. In the rise to be one of the students’ hang-out, Ahoy tends to get busier in the afternoon when students from the nearby Inti and Taylor's college drop by to have lunch.

Started its operation in the early February of 2015, just like any other cafes, Ahoy offers a variety of cakes and coffees. What makes Ahoy standing out from others is that they serves their foods and cakes in a very cute way! Probably is to embark with the pirate theme of the café.Explore every corners in the café! Enjoy yourself with the natural sun kisses. Thumbs up to the unique design that I could hardly find elsewhere! Interior is anchored with big wooden tables and cozy couches. As the name suggests, you can spot an anchor near the counter.
They have an extensive food menu too that covers from savoury and tasty main dishes to hot served sweet cakes. But I came here to have some caffeine fix instead of lunch.

Ahoy Oreo Cheesecake! For sure to wow family and friends!

Great place for coffee enthusiasts! The menu has variaties of coffee options.
The special pirate concept here is reason enough to go for. Hopefully this café will meet your expectation as well.
