Never underestimate the influence of social media, as everything can go viral with one click these days. Being one of the highly talked about café in town, we were attracted by its light bulb fruit juices. Quirky and unique, we made our way to Kepong.

The café is located at Bandar Manjalara, nearby Tesco Hypermarket within the ground floor of Wisma Fiamma to be precise. From what I heard, the staff’s service was pretty bad, perhaps due to the lack of experience in handling huge amount of customers since they are on the “must visit café list” recently. There is also a bakery next to it which serves a variety of bread choices, owned by the same owner. So many choices to choose from, we were so excited.

When our juice arrives, everyone was so busy with taking pictures that they have forgotten to taste it. In fact, the juice was really fresh and cooling since it was placed in a cold water immersion to maintain its coldness. As for our meal, it tasted great. Comes with a large portion of sautéed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, hash brown, bread and salad, it was so filling enough to last us throughout the day.

The Rama V Thai Restaurant has been in KL for awhile. Famous for its premium Thai food dining with good atmosphere, we decided to celebrate a friend's birthday at the restaurant.

For the benefit of those who aren't familiar with the KL city road, you could waze your way there or if you are heading to Jalan Imbi area using Jalan Tun Razak, I'm sure you will pass by this Daimler Show Room on your left, just across the road before you reach Prince Court Medical Hospital. Turn left in before the show room and Rama V will be on your right. It is located in an old but classy white Banglow.

When you step in, you will notice there is a small pond right outside the air conditioned restaurant. Separated by a glass window and door, you can actually walk out and there are some smaller huts for both 10 pax or even 2 pax. The sight of the lily flowers are so pretty as well.

As for food, we had the regular tom yam (white based), stir fry brinjal, kangkung with squid as well as prawns. The prawns looks so good and taste even better! It was so fresh, the meat was juicy with roe. Too good.

The Tom Yam on the other hand was normal. The portion was a little small for us as well. Stir fry brinjal is tasty, aromatic and perfect to pair with our rice and dishes.

We ended our meal with a birthday cake and birthday song for our birthday girl!

Chinese and Mexican, I bet you have never had such a combo before. But no, it's not the food but you actually get the option to sit at one same restaurant but you get two different menus. One from the Chinese Dim Sum and Stir Fry noodles and fried rice, one from the Mexican food like tapas and tortillas.

If you have ever been to Avenue K, this restaurant is located near the side entrance, right opposite The Library Cafe and Bar. Just few steps away from Cotton On.

The interior of the restaurant is pretty unique, reminds us a little of Delicious with the empty bird cages hanging. But this is more towards the classy and elegant as it has darker lightnings than Delicious.

Since we get a choice to order from both sides, we ordered some dim sum and tapas. The dim sum was quite good, prawn dumplings were pretty fresh and big in portion with the right amount of springiness. The best is its a pork free dim sum restaurant!

As for the Mexican food, it wasn't bad but it wasn't that great either. Portion is definitely small but it can be quite filling once you had a few plates of the tortilla and tapas plus the dim sum, we left the place with a happy tummy.

It is the most highly talk about place in town. Instragammable food, I'm sure each and every one of you will definitely heard of this place in Bangsar Shopping Complex.

Belongs to the same group of restaurant, the Oriental Group is run by their co founder Lyn. Hence the name.

We were pretty much in awe about their interior. Classy and dark, it strives to be an elegant and posh dining concept with a slight hipster feeling catering to the younger crowd as opposed to their traditional Chinese restaurant decorations. Not too sure whether the older generations will like such a concept, but it is definitely a hit as most of their order books are fully booked by companies functions.

We had their lunch set which cost less than RM 100 per person (which we have amended their standard set).  Comes with a roasted duck salad, Ruyi Sushi, Noodles, Chicken and Dessert.

They have a lot of fancy names for their dishes. The roasted duck salad was name Gesha Dancing Salad if I'm not wrong. It was flavourful. Consisted of lotus roots, vegetables and battered roasted duck, the salad dressing was really good.

For the sushi, one may be deceptive at first for its tiny looks. The hainanese chicken rice sushi was surprisingly good, topped with chilli and ginger sauce it brings out the extra flavours in it. The nasi lemak sushi looks too cute to be eaten especially the small tiny eggs.

Will definitely come back for more!

Quiet little cafe. OK Jan 13, 2016

It was quite some time back since we visited this little cafe. But to our surprise, it was so quiet even on a Saturday night.

It is highly advisable to come with companions as the parking lot is pretty deserted, especially for girls.

Since it was after dinner, we didn't order any of their mains. We had desserts instead. We tried their green tea, iced latte as well as ice creams!

They no longer serve The Last Polka ice cream though. It is the Cielo Dolci and it was a huge let down. The Rum and Raisin was the worst we ever had. In fact, one of my friend actually thinks that it smells like antibiotic. We had the peppermint chocolate as well. It was fine but we prefer The Last Polka anytime over this brand.

As for the green tea, it was one of the premium selection. Hence it was perfect to help digest our oily stir fried dinner that we had earlier on. The after taste of every sip leaves a fragrant tea leaves taste in our mouth, very much to our liking.

When we head to the loo, we actually passed by their bean roasting place. It was quite interesting to witness them staffs working on roasting the beans. Another eye opener for us.
