Please expect long-queue and no parking visiting this place.

I'm not gonna talk about how delicious and blissful to be Ipohan, growing up with all these yummy dishes.

I'm not gonna talk about how yummy is the food here, but I'm gonna tell you, one very special dish at here is the "Sha Got", where you can only find this in Ipoh.

Basically is a Fried Turnip, mixed with some fish meat, make this one-of-a-kind dish that makes this place so famous with.

Big, Yummy, Fresh, one could never resist more!

Nice quiche!  Smile Jan 16, 2016

There are a lot of cafes setting its foot in Ipoh Town nearly, well I guess this must be the most-hit cafe where everyone is talking about how tasteful their cakes is, and how nice their ambience is.

So we've decided to pay a visit, you know, being a typical Ipohan one must know every single bits of their beloved small town.

Well, I must say, it deserved the vibes.

I've ordered a Flat White, as usual.

(Sorry for the photo doesn't look like a Flat White, more like a Green Tea Latte)
I'm pleased with my drink. Not too coffee, not too milky, yet one can taste the milk on the tongue and coffee afterwards.

Not a quiche person, for I prefer patisserie more than savoury, their quiche taste nice too! Not too salty, yet fresh with bacon and cheese. The crust(?) is not hard at all, in another word, the quiche is fresh and doesn't taste like over-night-been-displaying-in-the-shelf-for-like-5-days-quiche.

Nothing special Cry Jan 16, 2016

Despite being at the center of Ipoh Town, this place has nothing special to blah about. Perhaps this is the only place in Ipoh where you might find big bowl noodle / boat noodle, where the big bowl noodle is just a big bowl with a lot noodles, that can feed 5 stomachs; and boat noodle whereas is the real small scoop noodle with RM1.90 per boat.

I dropped in, in a hot sunny day, to have some fresh air and perhaps some cold coffee to refresh myself. Ordered a custard and a glass of iced coffee, nothing special

Well, custard is sweet, you can't blame that, but besides that something is missing. The pudding was slightly too firm for a pudding, if you get what I mean. Perhaps I'm so used to the famous caramel pudding nearby (which is real soft), I don't particularly fond this firm-pudding.

As for the iced coffee, well, just a glass of a very normal iced coffee.

Would't recommend for a second visit, unless you just need a place to rest your feet.

Better than Funky Mountain Smile Jan 16, 2016

Being a typical Ipohan, I've had enough of people saying, "Wow you don't like FM's taufufah? Why? I think that's the best in town!" Well, you think.

I used to think the same, until I met this Wonng Kee's taufufah, and now this is a must visit place whenever I went back to Ipoh for my short holiday.

For a fair price of RM1.5 per taufufah, you get a bowl of warm, soft, full with bean curd aroma's yet don't feel like eating too much "stone powder" beancurd. I like to take away, simply want to enjoy my bean curd in home.

Less crowded as compared to the famous one, yet taste better. If you ask any local Ipohan, most of them probably will know this place too.

Delicious! Smile Jan 13, 2016

You'll always have to wait for the noodle or probably try your luck during weekend's morning.

When my grandmum told me she wanted to have a taste at the famous seafood noodle, despite being lazy and it's hot sun out there, we drove to Hoong Wan for a try.

Not a fan of fish head noodle, I opted for fish meat noodle. One could never resist such chewy and fresh fish meat! I was stunned having my first bite, then second and third. And I asked, why is this fish meat so bouncy (Is this the right word to use? I'm not sure, but you get what I mean), and I couldn't stop asking is this fish meat or some sort of I-don't-know-what-probably-plastic-thingy but I'm just kidding of course, it simple tasted as fresh as it just came out from the sea (or river).

My boyfriend ordered for a seafood noodle. Big prawns, fresh crab, tender fish meat, some squid and of course vege, make this such a big bowl even for him. I didn't get to try this noodle, but according to him, it's fresh too!

This is such a sin. An OMG sin. Not a lala fans either, but trust me when I said you have to try this bouncy/naughty lala, I mean, why is this so tasty?! And sorry for repeating, I can only use "fresh without any fishy smell". Please, try this lala for once and you'll fall in love with it immediately.

I couldn't recall how much for each dish to be, but for 2 fish meat noodles + 1 seafood noodle + 1 big plate of lala + 3 drinks cost us RM30 (or below that I couldn't recall). I would definitely say this is the most satisfying meal in my recent foodie life.
