A lean restorant, just the 3 of them (1 mother, 1 daughter and another at the water stall) running a small business.

Been visiting here since they just started the business.
Love their chee cheong fun with mushroom sauce (other sauces like sweet sauce and curry sauce available), with some fried stuff, that makes a very simple breakfast.And the momochacha dessert as a perfect started for my Sunday morning.
Very simple, affordable yet delicious breakfast for an usual Sunday.

Sometimes, we don't need special things to feel happy, just as usual as it is will do.

每天下午530开始就大排长龙，就连我这个怡保人也少吃的高温街，这次就来探个究竟。等待的同时先来一杯柠檬汁，我只能说这柠檬汁真的很original, 无添加多余糖粉，还是酸酸的，醒神！
芽菜 -- 还好。芽菜在怡保那么著名，这程度是普通，与其他餐馆的味道不相上下，没什么特别好的。
鸡 -- 差了点，肉质结实，可能是走地鸡的关系。但是吃起来不太爽口，不滑。少许失望。
鸡脚 -- 我这个不太爱吃鸡脚的人，吃了两口也觉得没什么特别。第一，汁不香。第二，鸡脚没啥入味。怡保有一间小档口吃鸡脚特别正，只是关闭之后就再也没吃过了。
河粉 -- 普普通通，还好。因为山水的关系，也因为从小吃河粉吃到大的关系，我对怡保河粉的口感非常挑剔，而这里，不算上等，不太滑口，只属于普通等级。

总体来说，就是不明白为啥那么多人慕名而来。还好而已。不会惊讶。

Something is missing in this assam laksa, I guess is the fish meat (comparing with Penang's Assam Laksa), and lack of sourness, but overall still good.

The noodle was smooth, typical Ipoh noodle. I visited this stall in a fine afternoon, sitting under a well-shaded area beside the stall, under the trees. You can order some "炸料" and drinks from the stalls nearby. My friend ordered the Chee Cheong Fun opposite. Being a typical Kuala Lumpur guy, he don't seem to enjoy Ipoh's Chee Cheong Fun that much though.

We can't be always enjoying food in high-end restaurant, or cafe. Sometimes, and most of the times, you'll find some real nice restaurants especially in the neighborhood.

Restoran Wong Kee is a place where me and my family always visit, almost every weekend.I like their sambal kangkung, onion oil taufu, and salted egg sotong. For a family style neighborhood restaurant, this is a very affordable yet you can expect delicious dinner here. Our family always host some annual dinner at this restaurant too! 

For the above 4 dishes, with some herbal teas for 5 of us, usually cost below RM50.

To be honest, I'm not a fans of the famous Funny Mountain or Funky Mountain taufufah, for I've been a beancurd lovers since like ever, I never found FM's taufufah was as smooth and nice as the one I used to have every single week during my childhood.

If you're coming to Ipoh, make sure you give this shop a try. Located at Bercham Hawker Food Street, just opposite 7-11, you'll find this small little corner shop with no banner and no name, selling humble yet best ever taufufah (for my own opinion)Cost Rm1.2 per bowl, portion slightly bigger than FM's beancurd, the texture is firm yet smooth and the portion is just nice for me, i wouldn't have the feeling of "what? that's it?"

If you're not a sweet tooth, make sure you ask the uncle to make it less sweet for you.
