The cafe at City Square looks simple, clean and classy. I love the simplicity and the floral lightings that hang outside the cafe and on the ceiling of the interior. The staff were friendly, offering some samples before we decided what we would like to order.

After tasting some samples provided, I fell in love with Raspberry Cheese Yoghurt and told my friend that we must get a slice of this! Honestly, I definitely prefer this over the famous Nadeje in Malacca. The taste of the mille crepe is so rich and creamy. I just wanted to have more of it after every mouthful. Yummy!
As compared to Raspberry Cheese, the Swiss Velvet Chocolate is not as rich and creamy. The layer of chocolate powder on the top of the crepe make the crepe a little bit dry. A good option for chocolate-lover who do not like their chocolate too sweet.

A Little Pricey OK Aug 07, 2014

Went there a few months before and since no one share a review till now, I will post what I posted on my blog (Critic's Critic) here =)

Strictly speaking, I will find Tropical Hawaiian Pizza overpriced as compared to other dishes we ordered. Yes, even though it contains more ingredients like diced pineapple, red and green pepper, onion, cheese and tomato paste. The pizza is more like bread to me as the pizza base is rather puffy (like bread) than the usual thin and crunchy.

As expected the Spaghetti Mushroom sauce is creamy! The mushroom slices are tough, while the spaghetti is slightly tough as well. It tasted pretty good with the chopped crunchy onions though, with garlic taste in the cream garnished with spring onion .

In recent years, we get to see more twist to the Italian classic dessert, Tiramisu. Matcha Tiramisu is one of them. The base of the dessert is a wet layer of chocolate cake. The second layer is the cream with cake and matcha powder. The top layer is filled with matcha powder. The matcha powder adds bitterness to the cake which, at times, can be overwhelming to most people. We find it rather amazing as we tasted something sour on our first bite. Now I am regretting about finding out more from the friendly staff. Not a sweet dessert. Droplets of chocolate and malt sugar adds points to the overall appearance of the dessert.

Crema Catalana, the Crème Brûlée of Catalan cuisine, tastes similar to the french dessert but without the crispy thin layer of caramelized sugar. In fact, the custard pudding offers a sweetness that should be more acceptable to the general public. Not everyone has sweet tooth, right?
