chilli burger OK May 31, 2013

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches

Well known for serving one of the biggest burgers in Malaysia is Carl’s Jr. The burgers served here are generally up to fifty percent bigger than any burgers you can find. One of my favourite burgers here is the chilli burger, which is not the same chilli that we Malaysians eat. It consists of a thick reddish soup cooked with lots of minced meat and beans consumed by the Americans. A thick layer of chilli is served between two buns and a burger patty.

sea urchin OK May 31, 2013   (Related Review)

Apart from ramen, this place also sells an assortment of sushi and not any other off the shelves sushi but from what I see most of them are high grade ingredients sushi such as sea urchin, salmon belly and tuna which is highly prized. The sea urchin is not cheap and can go up to RM80 per serving but it is not something you get every day and the roe was very fresh and creamy.

ramen OK May 31, 2013

This quiet little restaurant has its own fair share of frequent patrons and I do enjoy my visits here. The environment resembles something that is out of a manga with its quiet setting and friendly servers. I usually order the ramen from here as the semi boiled egg is one of the best I ever eaten. It has a rich and creamy yolk which goes well salty egg whites. A bowl of ramen here cost RM20 upwards which can be quite expensive in my opinion.

kaarage OK May 31, 2013   (Related Review)

Apart from udon, this place has one of the best kaarage or also known as fried chicken in Japanese. The fried chicken is shaped into miniature balls and coated with frying batter. Each ball has a deep golden colour and goes well with beer. I would usually coat my fried chicken ball with the chilli flake and seasonings to add in more flavour. Besides being delicious it is also very cheap as it cost only RM1 per piece.

udon OK May 31, 2013

If you are looking for a good place for udon then this is the place for you. The udon served here are made fresh every day and delivered from the headquarters. Even though the serving might be a little small but the taste and texture of the fresh udon makes it worthwhile. Each bowl of udon cost around RM10 and there are several types of toppings to go with it and my favourite is the house special udon.
