Coffee Stain By Joseph is a
popular cafe for their 3D art and latte art. It has been in my food bucket list
for quite some time and this week I finally got time to visit the cafe. Coffee
Stain By Joseph is located at Publika, Solaris Dutamas. The cafe serves coffee,
desserts and some main courses that looks amazing in the menu. We were welcomed
by the staff at the entrance and we choose our own place to sit (somewhere
Quite & got socket to plug our laptops). The ambiance of the cafe was
lovely with certificates and awards hanging on the wall. Impressive!! It was
empty when we arrived around 6.30pm but it was filling up after that for
dinner. I ordered Flat White and Creamy Chicken Carbonara.

Flat White was smooth and delicious. My boyfriend loved it.

Flat White @ RM 12

Carbonara was creamy but it needs an additional egg to have creamier texture. The sauce is just nice for the pasta and the combination of vegetable and meat in my pasta is something new for me rather than my usual bacon + egg carbonara.

Creamy Chicken Carbonara @ RM 24.90

It is a good place to do assignment. Quite, calm and relax
environment and perfect place to hang out with friends for a cup of coffee.
Friendly service and sure would drop by again for their coffee.

I planned to watch “Size Zero” a comedy and eye opening Indian Movie at Coliseum Cineplex, Kuala Lumpur as none of the GSC is playing that particular movie. So after our movie, me and my sister wanted to have dinner at Coliseum Café & Hotel while waiting for my Boyfriend to join us for dinner. Coliseum Café & Hotel is located just a stone throw away from Coliseum Cineplex. The café serves a variety of foods and drink choices for the customer including alcoholic beverages. A couple of people occupied the café when we arrived around 5.30pm. The ambiance of the café was classic and gives a very good vintage feeling for us. I ordered Hainanaese Chicken Chop and Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise.

Hainanese Chicken Chop is simply delicious. The chicken was crispy and tender. It was served with fries and sauce on the top. My boyfriend loved it; he even commented it tasted better than the Coliseum, Section 13.

Hainanese Chicken Chop @ RM 23.90

Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise is just a normal spaghetti, not something extraordinary.

Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise @ RM 16.90

Overall, it was an okay dinner for me. Just drop by to experience the feeling of dining at one of the oldest restaurants in Malaysia and the foods are okay. The biggest problem is their car parking that cost me RM 16++ for just 4 hours in KL that is almost equivalent to my dinner. So Sad!! Just waste of money and I would just use LRT to go there instead of driving and asked my boyfriend to pick us up.

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Dim sum

My friend recommends this Dim Sum restaurant to us and they were having a 50 % off from off-peak for all the Dim Sum. Therefore, we wanted to go there to give a try as it has been a long time I had a delicious Dim Sum. The Elite Seafood Restaurant is located at Section 13, next to the Unique Seafood Restaurant. I spend RM 7 for jockey service before even entering the restaurant and I guess they don’t have any car parking especially for the guests. The restaurant serves Dim Sum, Porridge, Noodles, Chee Cheong Fun on the Dim Sum Menu but I saw some of the other customers ordered seafood for their lunch. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived at 12.30pm but it was filling up after that for lunch with working people. The ambiance of the restaurant was good it is similar to the Chinese Wedding ballroom. Once entered, we were seated in a nice and comfortable chair and the staff even pulled an additional chair for me to keep my handbag. So good!! I ordered Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge, Siew Mai Topped With Prawn, Steamed Custard Bun, Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling, Glutinous Rice, Deep Fried Prawn Roll, Chee Cheong Fun With Meat Floss, Osmanthus Jelly,Pu Er Tea and Steamed Xiao Long Bao.

Tibbits was chargeable.

Tibbits @ RM 4.27

Century Egg With Lean Meat Porridge was good and big portion.

Century Egg With Lean Meat Porridge @ RM 10.91

Steamed Custard Bun has too thick fillings and does not have oozing effect. It looks small compare to the normal Dim Sum restaurant.

Steamed Custard Bun @ RM 12.73

Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling was delicious. It was plump and has a juicy prawn that barely visible through the translucent dough.

Steamed Crystal Prawn Dumpling @ RM 14.55

Siew Mai was tasty. The “must have” of any Dim Sum meal.

Siew Mai Topped with Prawn @ RM 12.73

Steamed Xiao Long Bao was okay. The skin was too thick. Place that in the spoon and bite it, then the soup will be oozing out from the Xiao Long Bao.

Steamed Xiao Long Bao @ RM 11.82

It is one of the common dish you will find in all the Dim Sum restaurant. Glutinous Rice was simply delicious. My boyfriend loved it.

Glutinous Rice @ RM 14.55

Deep Fried Prawn Roll was too crunchy and not enough of fillings.

Deep Fried Prawn Roll @ RM 10.91

Chee Cheong Fun was silky and soft. It was filled with crispy bean curd. Something new I tried at a Dim Sum restaurant.

Chee Cheong Fun with Meat Floss @ RM 12.73

Osmathus Jelly was okay. I like Tim Wo Han better than the Elite Seafood Restaurant. Coconut milk does not get along with the osmathus jelly.

Osmathus Jelly @ RM 7.27

Overall, it was an okay lunch for us. Dim Sum was good, but not extraordinary for the price we paid. RM 140 for the Dim Sum without 50%, I guess with that amount of money I can get eat a better Dim Sum somewhere else. Friendly service, but our food takes longer time to arrive.

The Grind Burger Bar @ Section 17 OK Jan 02, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches

My boyfriend wanted to have burger for sometime therefore when I know offpeak got 25% for The Grind Burger Bar, I quickly booked it for 3pax at 6pm. My boyfriend was so happy when I told him about that. The Grind Burger Bar is located same row with The Humble Pie, Section 17. They serves Breakfast Set, Lunch Set, Hotdogs, Burgers, Deserts and Beverages (Alcoholic and non- Alcohol). We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance before seating on our preferred table. I chose the table near by window so that I got a natural light to take a photo but by the time foods arrive it was almost dark. Couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived at 6pm and the ambiance of the cafe was lovely with Christmas decorations. I ordered Grind House (Pork), Hot Chocolate and Big Black Dog.

Hot Chocolate has a rich chocolate flavour that was a bit bitter for my liking and I ended up adding some sugar to go with the Hot Chocolate.

Hot Chocolate @ RM 8

Grind House (Pork) was okay. The bread was perfectly toasted and topped with caramelized onion, fried egg but the patty is blend and no seasonings. I love to have my patty has its own seasoning so that I no need to add any sauce to eat with the burger.

Grind House (Pork) @ RM 22

The Hot dog was placed in between the black bun and topped with Chilii pork, caramelized onion and cheese. Yummy!! French Fries are not soggy and freshly prepared after you placed your order and it is included in the set.

Big Black Dog @ RM 18

Overall, it is a good dinner especially the Hot Dogs. Would love to drop by again to try their Hot Dogs as for the burger I still prefer KGB and Patty & Pie. Good service and nice environment to hang out with friends.

Wondermama @ Bangsar Village Smile Jan 02, 2016

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

Finally I am done with my
assignments and it is time to enjoy so after submitting my assignment in the
college.I went Wondermama for celebration with my sister. Wondermama is located
at Ground Floor, Bangsar Village 1 (Next to Plan B). They serve Malaysian
cuisine with some western dishes as well but their most recommended dishes
according to Timeout KL Award Book is their Nasi Lemak and Mee Siam therefore
we ordered that for main course and ordered 3 Layer Pandan to drink. The
ambiance of the restaurant was cosy and lovely with indoor and outdoor seating
area. I prefer to be seated indoor as it was hot outside and indoor is a
non-smoking area. It was crowded when we arrived around 2pm and it was even
filling up after until 3pm.

3 Layer Pandan was amazing. It was refreshing and not too sweet. Most important thing is it goes perfectly well with the foods.

3 Layer Pandan @ RM 9.50

When it was served infront of us the smell itself is so addictive and drooling. Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam is served with Chicken (Drumstick is my favourite part of the chicken),Petai Sambal, Hard Boiled Egg, Peanuts and Anchovies. Yummy until I have a confusion of should I eat with Rendang or Petai Sambal as both tasted super good. A Plate of Confusion for me!!

Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam @ RM 21.90

Ibu’s Mee Siam was mouth-watering. The sauce was served separately that I loved as it wont be soggy and you only have to pour them in your bowl after taking the photos. Noodle is served with cucumber and a few big chunks of fried chicken. The fried chicken was tender and juicy. A bowl of heaven for me!!

Ibu’s Mee Siam @ RM 17.90

It was a super good celebration for us. Damn good service that I really admire. Delicious food and lovely environment,I really would love to drop by again.
