Casa Cacao @ Bangsar Smile Dec 01, 2015

Categories : Western variety | Café | Desserts

Me
and my sister went Bangsar for threading at First Impression Beauty Salon.
After threading, I told my sister that I wanted to have chocolate dessert
therefore we went Casa Cacao for dessert. Casa Cacao is located same row with
Dip N Dip, Bangsar. They serve variety of chocolate dishes for their customer
and all the dishes look drooling. Chocolate lovers sure will face problem of
what to order and same happen to me. After flipping through the menu couple of
times, I finally settled for chocolate fondue for 2. The ambiance was good for
relaxing and good to hang out with friends. The cafe was empty when we arrived
around 8.30pm but according to the staff, the cafe will be crowded after 10pm.

It looked gorgeous. Fresh strawberry, banana and marshmallow & waffle drizzled with dark chocolate and chocolate. Chocolate Fondue is serves with 2 types of chocolate (Dark chocolate and chocolate). Yummy!! Dip strawberry with chocolate and enjoy it. Sour taste from the strawberry contrast well with the sweet taste from the chocolate while banana goes well with the dark chocolate. My dear sweetheart marshmallow goes well with both.

Chocolate Fondue for 2 @ RM 32

It was a perfect chocolate dessert for us. Friendly service and
good environment. They are good in recommending the desserts and serve us with
smiling face (Very passionate about work). Good experience!! Checked off one of
my bucket list. Happy... Happy!!

Thanks to my sister for the treat. Love you!!

Bow Wow Cafe @ Puchong Smile Dec 01, 2015

Categories : Western variety | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Burgers / Sandwiches | Desserts

My
friend was invited for the Poddle Club Halloween Party at Bow Wow Café,
Puchong. Therefore, she asked me to join her for the event. Once entered the
café, we were welcomed by the cute poodle at the entrance. The café is located
upstairs and it will be locked to prevent the dogs from running outside the
café. So open the door carefully and close properly after entering the café.
The cafe serves beverages, desserts and limited main course. The cafe was full
house when we arrived and according to my friend that day the cafe has 39 dogs
and 40 owners from Poddle Club celebrating Halloween party. I am so happy to
see different types of dogs from cute Poddle to husky. The ambiance of the cafe
was good and comfortable. They even have a mini playground for the dog to play
inside the cafe. We ordered Carbonara, Bow Wow Ultimate Pork Burger, Basket Of
Fries and Piccolo Latte (Hot). You have to order and pay at the counter and
they will serve the food to your table.

Piccolo Latte (Hot) is strong and good to have during cold weather.

Piccolo Latte (Hot) @ RM 9

Basket of Fries is fresh and not soggy. It was served with mayonnaise, Chilli sauce and a dash of black pepper. Delicious!!

Basket of Fries @ RM 7

Bow Wow Ultimate Pork Burger was tasty. Beef patty was juicy and flavourful but the bread was over toasted for me as it is too crunchy to go with the beef patty but the bread had a good garlic taste and the coleslaw was good.

Bow Wow Ultimate Pork Burger @ RM 30

Carbonara tasted good. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce is just enough for the pasta but I prefer to have more sauce to go with my pasta. Creamy!!

Carbonara @ RM 25

Overall, it was a good Halloween party with my boyfriend, friend
and creamy (Her Dog). I admire how the staffs are very kind to the dogs and
passionate about their job. Friendly service and the food took us about 30
minutes to get as it was over packed yet they still manage to handle well.

Dim Sum King Vs Steamboat Queen a unique name for a
restaurant and it gives a hint to the customer about what they are selling in
the restaurant. You guys wanted to guess? Yeah, they serves Dim Sum &
Steamboats. Dim Sum (Ala-Cate) are served in the morning while Steamboat (All
You Can Eat) are served at night. They are also having lunch menu that only
cost around RM 15 for mini Steamboats (Ala-Cate).Dim Sum King Vs Steamboat
Queen is previously Known as Fatty crab where they sell Ala-Cate Steamboat but
after analysing the market they change their restaurant name to Dim Sum King Vs
Steamboat Queen and their concept to All You Eat Steamboat since the beginning
of June 2015 and they also included Dim Sum in their menu. In addition, they
changed their chef to who has a 20 years of experiences in cooking Industry and
their signature Pork Bone Soup is following Macau cooking style as the Boss
wanted to serve a good quality food for the customer. The interior are well
made and maintained. We are served with Dim Sum before our steamboat as this is
a food testing organised by the Openrice and we are well taken care by Mr
Patrick who was very kind and humble in explaining details of the foods.

Vegetable choices.

4 types of noodles.

Varity of processed items and fresh seafood’s.

Ice – Creams

It’s hard to resist the sweet custard filling nestle within a steamed pastry. It was a satisfying dessert just the fillings was a bit cool down after our photo sessions.

Prawn Dumplings is not chewy and it tasted good.

Har Gau has a correct texture and thickness of the skin. Yummy!!

Siew Mai are generously packed with meat and best enjoyed while it is piping hot.

Deep Fried Glutinous Ball was generous filling of lotus paste encased in a sweet crispy taste and fragrant with sesame seeds.

Fried Prawns was sweet, juicy with big prawns.

Deep Fried Bean Curd Rolls with Salted Egg has a crispy exterior and soft delicious salted egg fillings with seafood’s (Prawns). I love to eat them as a snacks.

It was fried to golden brown perfection and these are addictive make them good appetisers.

The Oysters are imported from Australia and it was fresh. It Squeeze the lemon over it and enjoys.

They have Tom Yum, Clear Soup, Pork Bone Soup and Porridge to go with steamboats. We tried Pork Bone soup as it is their hot selling soup in the restaurant. Pork Bone soup was yummy (No MSG). The Pork Bone soup was cooked together with Pork Bone, Turkey Ham, Milk (To give smooth texture) and vegetables. It was smooth, milky and every spoon was heaven. I drank almost 8 bowl of soup during my steamboat session because for me soup plays a very important role in Steamboats. To get this amazing taste, the Chef started cooking the Soup as early as 6am in the morning as he believes the longer you cook the tastier it becomes.

Plate of fresh seafood. The seafood’s are fresh an enjoyed eating the Jumbo prawns. It was sweet, juicy and meaty.

Deep fried Spring Rolls tasted delicious with a crispy skin and fillings.

All the deep fried items are fried perfectly and generous with the fillings. You can hear the crunchy sound while munching it. Mayonnaise make a pleasant dip for these fried snacks.

It was a perfect dinner for me. The foods are delicious, Value for money and humble service. I really loved their Pork Bone Soup. There is no additional charge for the Pork Bone Soup and it is unlimited refills. You also can choose fresh seafood’s from the counter and request the chef to cook it for you according to your preference on the menu (Minimum 2 Pax). They are having a different concept to stand out from their competitors and attract customers by offering fresh seafood’s and value set during Lunch Hours. They are selling a voucher in Groupon which you guys can buy.

Thank you openrice for the invitation and I am happy to meet new bloggers and openrice members. See you can guys soon.

My friend wanted to have coffee to release
stress so we head to Rekindle, SS2. Our journey was smooth and we reached
Rekindle in less than 10 minutes and managed to get a car parking beside
Rekindle (Happy). Rekindle is located same row with JoJo Kitchen. When you pass
by the café, the strong coffee smell at the entrance will pull you in. The cafe
sells a limited menu of sandwiches and beverage (Hot & Cold) but they have wide
varieties of cake with alcohol and without alcohol. The cafe was almost full
house when we arrived even though it was 5pm. The environment was the amazing
and good lighting. They have 2 types of seating for the customers (Normal
tables with chair and beanbags). We choose beanbags, as it was more comfortable
and relax while enjoying a cup of coffee and slice of cake. We ordered Flat
White and Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake.

Flat White was smooth and has a strong coffee taste.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake was heaven and mind blowing dessert. Each level of chocolate cake was layered with salted caramel and when you eat both of them together, it was sweet and salty. Sweet from the chocolate while salty taste from the salted caramel gives it a perfect kick.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake @ RM 11.90

It was super good teatime. The cake was gorgeous, friendly& humble service (The young girl at the cashier counter is very patient in explaining the details of the cake to the customers and she is very good in recommending the cakes). The environment is also comfortable and relaxing. Perfect place to hangout for a relaxing day. Sure, drop by again to enjoy the different varieties of cakes.

I have never been to the Bandar Sunway area before, but I heard that the area has some good cafe's like GARAGE 51, SOFTCORE and HOPP CAFE. We wanted to try Hopp Cafe and have some proper dinner. Hopp Cafe is loacted at Nadayu 28 Dagang. They serve Pasta, Pizza, Paella, Malaysian Cuisine, Beverages, Soup & Snacks and Desserts. We were greeted upon entering and we choose our own place to sit. It was crowded when we arrived at 7.30pm. The ambiance of the cafe was good and they have different type of seating for everyone’s preferences. We ordered Chicken Paella and Tomato Seafood Pasta.

Chicken Paella was delicious but the portion was rather small for him. It takes 20 minutes to get the Chicken Paella and the waiting time is stated in the menu.

Chicken Paella @ RM 15.90

Pasta was so yummy. I am not a big fan of Tomato Base Spaghetti but I was so in love with this pasta. The pasta was cooked beautifully and the sauce goes perfectly well. Moreover, they are generous with the seafood's portion too.

Tomato Seafood Pasta @ RM 19.90

It was a super good dinner for me. Foods are delicious, friendly & Fast service. The staffs are very good at recommending the foods to the customers and I must also thank one of the staff for his good recommendation. Thank You MR. STRANGER !!
