Korean rice bowl Smile Dec 31, 2013

This is called bibimbap, which is basically a korean rice bowl dish with mixed vegetables and topped with egg. The combination of vegetables was sour, salty, crunchy, sweet, and soft all at the same time. The strongest vegetable, that is kimchi, is served on the side so you can control the spiciness and sourness.

Shio ramen Smile Dec 31, 2013

Back to basics - instead of all the special flavours, I decide to try the shio ramen, which basically just salt-based broth (of course, with all the porky goodness too). Not surprisingly, the broth was very salty, but very pleasantly so. The meat was tender and fatty.

Nasi lemak Smile Dec 31, 2013

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

One of the famous nasi lemak places, though not something most Malaysians would consider to be everyday food. Once in a while, it's just pleasant to dine in a nicer environment, even if it means paying more.

The nasi lemak here is fragrant, sambal is "kao" and spicy. Chicken is tender.

Another burger place!!! Smile Dec 31, 2013

Oh gosh, not another burger joint, right? They claim that their burgers are "killer" and "gourmet"; but while they are pretty good, they do not earn that title. Burger was juicy and flavourful, but the combination of flavours do not excite. Cajun fries were nice - spiced and salty.

French onion soup. Sweet, peppery, and chunky. I like.

Cheese and beef nachos - super cheesy, but clumpy when cold, and lots of meat. Tacos are a bit soggy though, due to condensation when the food gets cold.

Pecan almond pie - very nutty, very chocolatey.
