Sliced pork with di huang sauce. The dish came with cabbage, pickles and sweet sauce. The presentation of the pork slices were not too good. It was thickly cut, and the fats were a lot. I had to separate out the fats because it was just too much and fattening. The gravy was slightly salty. The pork smell was slightly strong too and I do not like it. I had to put a lot of sweet sauce to mask it.

Mango Longan OK May 12, 2013   (Related Review)

Blended Mango Longan. This was an interesting combination and actually both longan and mango complemented each other very well. The mango was ice blended, the mango taste was there but the ice was not blended fully, I still can feel bits and pieces of ice in it, which I do not prefer. The longan was springy and sweet. The portion was big and I love the whole combination.

Mushroom soup  OK May 12, 2013

Mushroom soup. Whenever I spot mushroom soup served in a bowl-like bread, I would order it. This time, it was no exclusion. Season's Cafe version was indeed a big bread bowl. The bread was kind of tough and I had to peel it off using some strength. However, the bread edges were crispy and inner part was soft. The mushroom soup was creamy and had some mushrooms. It was not too salty.

Apart from the normal nasi lemak that I had taken, I took some chicken rendang too. The chicken rendang was very aromatic when I walked pass. The rendang was fragrant with coconut milk, various spices especially tumeric. It was slightly salty and it was slightly spicy too. The chicken meat was soft and tender. Together with the rice, this tasted quite delicious.

Nasi Lemak OK May 11, 2013   (Related Review)

During the breakfast session, I spotted nasi lemak in the buffet spread, and immediately I conjured up my own nasi lemak. I took some peanuts, ikan bilis, hard boiled egg, rice and sambal. First scoop was the sambal and it was quite salty. No doubt it has the fragrant sambal and onion taste, it was slightly spicy. The rice was fragrant with santan while the ikan bilis added further saltiness to the dish.
