Rojak Sotong Smile Aug 11, 2013

Rojak Sotong. The rojak at Taman Bahagia is one of the best rojak around Petaling Jaya area. The rojak consisted a few ingredients such as prawn crackers, shredded cucumbers and turnips, deep fried beancurd and other deep fried stuffs. The sotong sambal added further spiciness and richness to the delicious rojak. I particularly like the prawn crackers which were crunchy.

Nasi Kukus Smile Jul 28, 2013

Nasi Kukus. I was introduced by my colleague on this nasi kukus. It was a very simple meal: rice and fried chicken. What it makes this meal so special was the nasi kukus gravy that they pour into the rice. The gravy has strong beef essence and I love it so much. The chili that they gave was so spicy and it blended well with the rice. The chicken was crispy and soft in the inside.

Stir Fried Peking Duck Smile Jul 27, 2013

Stir Fried Peking Duck. We ordered the peking duck and it can be made into two dishes. The other one is to use to peking duck meat and stir fried with beansprout, carrot and green peppers. Simple ingredients but it tasted very delicious. The dish was not too salty and the duck was not gamey at all. I wrapped the duck meat in a cabbage and the cabbage gave a crunchiness to it.

Pan Mee Soup. We came to this stall to try the pan mee soup since my mother strongly recommended it. In fact, this stall is the most famous stall among other stalls, almost every table will order one bowl of pan mee soup. The pan mee was not too thick and not floury. It has ingredients such ash minced pork, anchovies and vegetables. The soup was very flavourful with the stocks.

Boiled prawns Smile Jun 21, 2013   (Related Review)

Boiled prawns. The restaurant was having a promotion on boiled prawns that night, so we decided to give it a try. Although with its promotion price of RM24, they did not skimp on the portion, there were total of 14 prawns, a mixture of small and medium-sized prawns. It came with 2 types of dipping sauces: soy sauce and chilli sauce. The prawns were very fresh and they were succulent and sweet. We do not need to dip in to the sauce to get the saltiness or spiciness.
