Milk Coffee Smile Dec 20, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

I've always been a fan of Milk Tea and I love coffee but this was my first cup of Milk COFFEE! The drink has a very strong coffee taste and aroma. I like my coffee with milk so this combination is great for me. I don't think there's enough milk to justify it's name though. We've also added on Grass Jelly topping and it was delightful to sip into the sweet, slightly bitter coffee mixture. Price wise, it's quite affordable and cheaper compared to many other shops.

Desserts for supper Smile Dec 18, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

A popular kopitiam in this neighbourhood, I occasionally drop by for late supper (they're open til really late!). There is a stall at the front (towards Watson's) that sells several types of tong sui (dessert) but most of the time choices are limited. My fav here is their bubur chacha at RM 3.50. The amount of stuff inside depends purely on the guy scooping it so sometimes you get more or less. It is slightly too sweet but still okay. Yam chunks can sometimes be really 'vein-y' but most of the time they're soft and almost melt in your mouth.

Soya Cincau OK Dec 18, 2012
Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack | Nasi Lemak

Dropped by here for a quick drink one day. It was past lunch time so the shop was quite empty. Staff are very polite and there are plenty of seats. I ordered a glass of soya cincau and it arrived like this. Big chunky cincau with a thin straw and no spoon. How was I supposed to drink this? It took the waitress a while to realize her mistake. The drink itself was alright.. Didn't taste like normal soya cincau, like it had a hint of gula Melaka or something. Tad bit too sweet for my liking.

Grape Yogurt  Smile Dec 18, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Café | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

My favourite drink here is definitely their Grape Yogurt with Aloe Vera! I love to add in Shiro Balls / white pearls as well. Strange that I cannot replace the aloe vera with white pearls though. I have previously tried their vanilla mille crepe and loved it so much, I went back for a taste of the mango variant, which costs slightly more. Sadly, it didn't taste as good and the cake wasn't as smooth.

Disappointing teh tarik OK Dec 18, 2012
Categories : Malaysian variety | Malay | Restaurant | Noodles

We all know that a good mamak is the perfect place to hang out here in Malaysia! There IS another mamak in Taylor's but this one has a more 'authentic feel' to it. Service is not awesome due to the number of customers but food arrives quite fast. My Maggi goreng was in a reasonable portion and tasted good (love it with more lime!) but the 'teh tarik' tasted like regular teh ais and there wasn't any foam in it at all! In fact, another drink my friend ordered tasted like teh ais as well.
