Seafood OK Aug 03, 2012   (Related Review)

This is a plate of some assorted seafood. Honestly, I think that if a dish has to depend mainly on its sauces for flavour, it is not a very good dish. These, especially the tofu (did not even have the bean taste) were rather bland. The fish cake in crab shell may look good but it was incredibly hard to remove from the shell! Overall, the seafood's fresh and the fried ones were oily. Just would have preferred more taste.

Mee Jawa OK Aug 03, 2012   (Related Review)

Although environment here isn't the best nor the cleanest (imagine stalls on both sides of a closed road with metal tables and chairs), prices are very affordable. This plate of Mee Jawa was about RM 3 (most of the food are around there, some cheaper). Pretty average taste, wouldn't say it's the best. The gravy is a combination of spicy, salty and slightly sour. Would have preferred it to be thicker.

Wan Tan Mee OK Aug 03, 2012

Being KL people who have never been to Kedah before, we were extremely shocked by the very low prices here. Wanted to order from this Bah Kut Teh stall but he said I have to wait 30 minutes so wan tan mee it is. Tasted pretty much like any other wan tan mee. Noodles a little soggy but the overall dish was alright.. Dumplings were meaty with enough taste and the sauce was thick. Vegetables fresh and crunchy.

Prawn Noodles OK Aug 03, 2012

This food court is very convenient since it is located right beside the famous Batu Ferringhi beach and has a wide variety of food available. This bowl of prawn noodle was average.. The big spoon of har gou (prawn paste) added taste to the soup but I wouldn't say it is very good. It definitely wasn't bland but not something I would recommend. I found exactly 7 very tiny and overcooked prawns inside the slightly soup.

Cover milk tea OK Aug 01, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Restaurant | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

The moment I stepped into this place, I immediately smelt the fragrant aroma of tea floating around. We ordered two of their tea drinks which were topped with covermilk as recommended. The proper way to drink this is to sip the tea, sip the covermilk then mix and drink it. Unfortunately, I did not really like it as the covermilk tasted strangely sour to me. My friend liked it though. The drinks are less sweet compared to other places.
