Chix burrito OK Jul 06, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Sweets/Snack

It is named as chix burrito instead of chicken burrito in Restaurant Padi House. The bone of the chicken has been removed then with the onion, tomato, cabbage and a bit sour cream are wrapped using tortilla. There is some french fries and some vege as side dishes. However, the burrito in this restaurant is a bit dry, if it is a bit more juicy, I think it would be nicer.

The portion is enough for tea time but not for a meal. However, the price is reasonable.

chicken chop rice OK Jul 06, 2012

Padi House is a restaurant that provides a very good environment to chit-chat with friends.

The chicken chop rice is a chef recommended food.

The appearance of the egg on the rice is very attracting. I personally like the spring roll as it is crispy outside and it's very satiable. Besides a chicken chop, rice, spring roll and egg, there is also some salad with fresh vege.

It costs about RM 10 for this dish.

radish omelette Smile Jul 06, 2012   (Related Review)

To have a great combination with teow chew rice porridge, I have ordered the radish omelette in this restaurant.

The radish is preserved then it is fried with the eggs. The radish is brittle and it gives a very nice bite. Dipping it in the chili sauce served in the restaurant and with the porridge make a perfect combination.

A plate of radish omelette as above costs about RM 3.

Teow Chew food Smile Jul 06, 2012

Finally, I have got the chance to try out the teow chew porridge in taman desa aman recommended by many people.

This is the porridge in the restaurant. It is a bit watery for me.

Fermented toufu in this restaurant tastes really good. It is a bit salty and sweet with its sauce, so eating with the tasteless porridge is a great combination.

A bowl of porridge costs Rm 1 and a plate of toufu as above costs RM 2.

Middle eastern cuisine Smile Jul 05, 2012

Categories : Middle Eastern | Restaurant | BBQ

Al Diafah restaurant is located at Sri Petaling. If you pass by this row of shop, you will definitely see this restaurant as it is very eye-catching, especially at night. The restaurant is very big and the signboard with yellow large arabic words in dark red is very attracting. The restaurant is at first floor of the building. You can either take a lift or by taking the stairs. The gorgeous decoration will definitely surprise you once you enter the restaurant.

All the middle eastern style of paintings, mirrors, ornaments are surrounded you. The chairs, tables and cutlery are all look special in its middle eastern style. Even the tea pots on the dining tables are like Ali Baba style. The wall is full with Arabic style of kitchen utensils.

Once you have sat down, you will be served with a glass of plain water.

This boneless barbeque chicken tastes normal for me yet the aroma is there.

The mixed grill recommended by my Arabic friend is very nice indeed. The mixed grill is consists of beef kebab, chicken and lamb. But the lamb is too dry. If it is a bit juicy, then I think it would be perfect for the dish. The beef kebab is a roll of beef which tastes like specially marinated with some sauce and it is quite soft.

Kebab is also recommended by my Arabic friend. So we ordered both fish kebab and chicken kebab. Compared to the beef kebab, fish and chicken kebab is not as good yet they still have their own special taste which is different from the normal chicken and fish.

I have tried little bit of the rice served with some other dishes. The shape of the rice is longer than our normal rice and it is quite tasty for me.

For drinks, mixed fruit tea is quite nice for me. It comes with a tea pot and 2 small cups and saucer. It tastes sweet and a bit sour.

The staff is very nice and polite.
