Good Options for Birthday Lunch OK Jun 28, 2012

Lunch Set - Chicken Katsu Don

Lunch Set - Chicken Katsu Don

So it was a birthday lunch.

And this is Chicken Katsu Don set.

The Chicken Katsu Don didn't really surprise me, you know, the egg covered on top is good, chicken taste standard, there are miso soup, chawanmushi and fruits and potatoes salad in the set.

However, the onion inside the egg was troubling me as I really don't like it inside the egg. It destroys the texture of the egg, and I don't like it while eating egg like I'm chewing onions. I wish they just put the onion on top instead of inside the egg.

shocked It comes with the RM29.90 3-course set. Can you imagine how full will it be for a starter like this?

tongue I'll say it's not bad while having it with the celery, but my lady boss just can't take the salty-ness. Waitress: "It is normal it to be salty."

shocked Not sure if it is really called the "Three-Platter". I'll say the impressive-ness was limited to pure visually.

Local Delight Like Home-made OK Jun 12, 2012

"Any good place for lunch in USJ?" I asked a girl who lived in Subang Jaya. I think she has always been living around here, I guess.

"Try out K3K Benta Kaya nearby Asia Cafe!"

That's how I walked into this kopitiam for the first time.

And this is my dining experience with K3K Benta Kaya Kopitiam.

I loved the coffee + Yau Char Kuey + Kaya set so much! The coffee wakes you up like a disciplined father, kaya is gently sweet like a mother and the Yau Char Kuey is crunchy like your playful little sister.
Bad!

Bad!

I was so regret for my greedy eyes that ordered this ugly giant bun with chocolate syrup and peanuts butter on top along with my coffee set. It is just... so heavy.

chopstick Undeniably complete but still mot the best Assam Laksa I had.

chopstick Not as good as I imagined through the photo in their menu.

sad "Eyeballs no good" this is what my father says about me ordering food. I am pretty full already when this basket of fried sweet potatoes arrives.

smile Not bad, I'll give 7/10 for this glass of sour plum, well home-made is alwasy thicker than drinking this outside.
