Pollo Pizza @ Alexis Smile Jun 22, 2012   (Related Review)

After a hard day at work, Jolane and I decided to have our dinner at Alexis Garden. Though pricey, every cent spent are worth it as the food we had were really good. Yummy yummyyyyyyyyyyy.............................. Other than Pollo Pizza, we also ordered their signature Tiramisu. Total damage including tax is RM 55.80.

Pollo pizza (RM 29)
You can never go wrong with Alexis' pizzas. Our Pollo Pizza is a thin crust pizza topped with grilled chicken, tomatoes, mozzarella and capsicum.......The grilled chicken is tender and smooth.....The amount of cheese added is just nice; not too cheesy and the capsicum taste good too. The pizza size is just nice to be shared by two people.

Jelly Fish with Special Taste (RM 12)

Farmland Steamboat Restaurant not only sell steamboat but also some delicious dishes. One of it is the Jelly Fish with Special Taste. This jelly fish dish is very good to eat as a starter as it is very appetizing.

I believe this dish is quite a hit among the customers because I see many customers ordering this dish.

It is a very yummy sesame flavored jelly fish with coriander leaves served in cold style. Besides that, some chili padi were added in to make it more spicy. Squeeze the lime and mix the juice with the jelly fish to make it more tasty.

Had a makan session with 5 of my uni classmates at Pangkor Village Seafood Restaurant located in Taman Megah back in 2009. Hmm...I think this was my third time here. For this time, we ordered some of their signature dishes such as the Fish Head Curry, Honey Chicken, Seafood Beancurd and Australian Lettuce ("yau mak").

Fish Head Curry (Medium portion ~ RM 33)

Everything finish...except fish bones..lol

Honey Chicken (Medium portion ~ RM 16)
The thick, dark sauce coating the Honey Chicken was concocted using Marmite and honey, lending extra flavours to the chicken marinated with soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, sugar and sesame oil. Absolutely delicious........the sweetness of the chicken suite my tastebuds. But according to one of my friend (Liang Sze), the chicken was too sweet for her.

Seafood beancurd (RM 13)
The seafood beancurds are firm and springy. According to the waitress, the beancurd were made from prawns, squid and fish which were blended into a paste, then add spring onions, cubed carrots, and soya bean milk.

Australian lettuce "aka" Yau Mak (Large portion ~ RM13)

Crab pictures on the menu...look so tempting!!!!
Didn't order their crabs cause all of us were broke....no money.... (just kidding) hahaha......

Look closer at the menu. Do u realise the spelling mistake there? It is suppose to be "CRAB" and not "CARB".These "CARBS" are costly....hehe....Besides, I am still wondering what are PONDAN crabs...have not tried them before......After searching thru the internet, I found out from an article on The Star newspaper that the crabs are named Pondan Crabs because the crustaceans are captured during the shell-changing period. The article also stated that delicious crab roes are found under the hard shell and the meat is firm and sweet. Will definitely try their Pondan crab if I were to go there again....

Overall, we were satisfied with the food there.....the total damage for the six of us was RM 92.20.

Lunch @ Pasta Zanmai Smile Aug 17, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Seafood

I celebrated my friend's birthday in Pasta Zanmai a few years ago and we ordered the following food.

Unagi Onsen Rice Set (I think is around RM 20.00)
The rice set is huge and was topped with a hot spring egg and lots of big chunks of unagi. When the egg is mixed together with the rice, it makes the rice to become sticky which resembles the texture of sushi rice. The unagi was good too, where the unagi was grilled and coated with some thick soy sauce which was slightly sweet. Combine the unagi and rice together, and you'll get a very flavorful flavor. Besides the rice and unagi, a bowl of miso soup and salad were also served together in this set.

Kinoko Tori no Cream Sauce (RM 19.00)
This pasta is actually quite similar to the normal carbonara in which the mushroom sauce is creamy and milky. The chicken in this pasta is pan-fried. Only tender chicken meat were given, no bones. Good for a lazy eater like me..Many pieces of chicken were given.
