This is the main door where you enter to the ''forest'' restaurant.

thai elephant deco

We got a friend which is a vegetarian, so we order some pure vege dishes.
Spring Rolls @ RM30.00
Its stuff with all kinds of vege which i can't differentate hahaha, but it taste great too.

Grilled Eggplant w Coconut @ RM26.00
This is a dish i never see or tried before. The appearance is not very attractive but the taste is really superb. I don't know why but the gravy is so fantastic and the eggplant is soft and juicy. It make me wants more !

Vege w Tofu @ RM28.00
Just a simple stir fry green vege. But i love the sauce, mix well with the coconut rice.

Caramelized Chicken @ RM30.00
Looks like marinated chicken. Tender meat and gravy is my favorite again. Hahaha i can eat a lot of rice just because all the sauce and gravy here suits me !

Food wise is nice and it really looks quite a normal dishes. However, honestly the food here is very expensive. We are paying for the environment. Enjoy the ''out of city'' fresh air and its facing the green golf course. A good experience for relaxing.

Friend suggest this place for a birthday dinner. Tamarind Spring is located a the top of Taman Tun Abdul Razak. Is a route up the hill where you pass by a lot of housing area from terrace house till bungalows. Its located opposite the condominiums, where you can see the Tamarind Spring sign board.

There is a open parking space at the side, then you have to walk in through a small door and a long pathway into the restaurant. Many tourist came here too. I found this place like in the forest, totally out of the city.

Is a mix of thai and chinese style restaurant. Serve with rice which have a strong coconut aroma.

Some crackers FOC served when we settle down. I don't eat snack before dinner but i was addicted when i try to dip the crackers into the serving cili sauce. It match so well and delicious !!

The starter Amuse Bouche is FOC on the house too. It looks like mango kerabu, but it does not taste like it. There are some pieces of prawns meat, garlic, onions, mango, carrot etc.

Tamarind Specials @ RM18.00
Lemongrass Juice @ RM18.00
Their tamarind specials change everyday. It depends whats the chef got for the ingredient on that day. Tonight, mine was with lychee and soda.

River Lobster w Lemongrass @ RM37.00
The best dish of the night. I love the sauce, rich of lobster taste and the lobster meat is tender and juicy. One is totally not enough.

They have 2-3 different cakes to pick on. I chose the Coffee Espresso Cake. A ''oomph'' delight when i put it in my mouth. It taste of rich chocolate and mild coffee aroma. After all i feel it taste more like a chocolate cake hahhaa may be i had over dose of coffee.

My FREE cup of Graffeo Cafe Latte !!
Graffeo cafe here is my all time favorite. Besides their ''Coffee Art'', I love their fine Graffeo coffee because I no need to add any sugar for all their coffees. Not bitter at all and good for my health too.

However after the first visit here.... I cant stop myself for not revisit again... hahhaaa the food is nice and the restaurant is comfortable ^.^ normally i went there during weekend for brunch.

the famous home made Pan Mee @ RM6.80
comes with a choice of ''tear'' mee, thick mee and thin mee. Pan Mee comes with 2 color.. the normal pan mee and vegetable pan mee.
The brownish crispy on top is nice to eat... taste like fried fish paste.

pan mee chili (very spicy!!! ) I love the clear soup with the bouncy noodle which serve well with this chili.

Fu Chou fish ball soup (福州魚丸) @ RM6.50. there is meat in fu chou fish ball

Frog Porridge @ RM6.80. The porridge is smooth and cooked long enough as all the ''rice'' are minced equally.

Green Tea Glutinous Ball @ RM4.50. Inside the glutinous ball is black sesame.

Curious is called claypot but the pot come is not hot at all. the waitress explained that its just served in Claypot but cook separately. =.=''

This is nice. Dad highly recommend this dish.. The fish portion is quite a lot too

Rich of herbal aroma and taste.

Ah Kong Fan Shu Leaves 阿公番薯叶 @ RM15.80 (small)
This ah kong serves with belacan, while their ah po (grandma) is without belacan. Taste nice.. but very small portion.

Overall food is nice. Just the tofu and vege is too small portion for that kind of price. Rice is served for RM2.20 per bowl. Very pricey restaurant the bill came to be RM96.25 for 3 person.
