The wantan mee at Restaurant Macy consists of some sliced bbq pork, wan tan in soup and a few pieces of vegetables. Unlike most of the other dishes in this restaurant, the wantan mee here is relatively much smaller. The noodle was cooked to a little softer and soggier than what I would prefer. The BBQ pork served in this dish is a little let down as it does not have a decent amount of fat on it, unlike most other cha siew that I am usually accustomed too. This restaurant is pretty famous and expect to wait for tables during peak hours or holiday season. I ordered the Pan Mee, as I was looking to try some Ipoh ones. The seller recommended me to try their dry version, so I ordered it with thin noodles. For a small pan mee, the one served here is definitely much bigger than expected. This dish of pan mee consists of a generous amount of sliced mushrooms, anchovies, vegetables and minced pork. The noodles are well cooked and it has a nice flavour and it is lightly salted, which is great. Although I have tasted better ones in KL, the pan mee here isn't too bad.

Another famous snack which is commonly found at the northern states of Malaysia is the Pulut Kaya. Basically it is glutinous rice which is served with kaya. A serving like this only costs RM2.20. The glutinous rice is sticky, and very fragrant. Unlike the Penang version, this one does not have the standard blue colouring. It is complemented with a generous amount of kaya, making it a sweet dessert-like snack suitable to be eaten all day. The kaya served is fragrant and smooth. A serving like thi
